Kabal of the Poisoned Fangs

I'm starting a blog on here dedicated to my Kabal, I have a lot of older models mixed with new ones. I'm going to kick this off with a warrior that I painted tonight. Questions, comments and critizism is needed/wanted. I'm going to come up with some background story soon, I'm still in the process of reading the Path of the Renegade so I'll see what kind of back-story I come up with after that book.



It's got purple highlights, I did Hormagaunt Purple for a base coat, Liche Purple, Asurmen Blue wash, highlighted with 50% Liche purple/50% White bone. Runes is Red Blood, highlighted with white bone. Cloth was dwarf flesh with gryphonne sepia wash. The eyes were Ice Blue with a tad of white bone... Picture doesn't do it justice, the colors are much more better.

I have to tell ya the colors aren't really working for me.

I don't have an issue with the colors you've chosen, but from the picture, and you did say its not the best so take this with a grain of salt, it looks very busy.

I prefer fewer colors, usually 3 on the model. To my thinking this has 6 colors all of which compete with the viewers eye for attention.

I hope you find my comments as constructive and not dismissive or demeaning. Not my intent at all.
