| HQ Captain A: 2 Lightning claws Artificer armour Melta bombs Digital weapons I
Troops 10xTactical squad A: Plasma gun Lascannon
10x Tactical Squad B: Melta gun Plasma Cannon
5x Scout team: Camo cloaks Teleport homer:
Dedicated transports Razorback Dozerblade
Elites 7xAssault Terminators: Thunder hammers and storm shields
5x Veteran squad: 2x melta guns: Powerfist:
Dreadnaught: Twin linked lascannon: Twin linked missile launcher: Extra armour:
Fast Attack 5x Assault marines: Power fist:
Heavy Support Whirlwind: Storm Bolter:
Comes to 1500. Intend to deepstrike the terminators onto the board either close to the infiltrated scouts ( hence the teleport homer) Admittedly risky but I have to bring a little bit of Dark Eldar into it! The sternguard veterans will be in the rhino. This is not meant to be a tournament list but a fun list to play with. Thought it was a bit of a bargain as its been based, undercoated etc. Any comments are welcomed!

| Haha yeah fell to the darker side! My friends who I play most often tend to field a marine variety/imperial guard army and were getting, how to put it, infuriated with DE assaults, poisoned weapons and crazy venom/ blasterborn spam! I'm still going to be using the DE for competitive games but for means of keeping the peace I think its time I conformed! | |

| I could suggest conforming in a non human centric way, but then my Astral Claws may jump from the shelf and throttle me. Any ideas on Chapter yet? The list looks good for fun. I don't play my Marines in a competitive environment so I can't really comment on it too much, but it is similar to some of my lists so you should have fun. I assume the Captain will join the Sternguard in their Rhino? | |

| Yeah that's right. Going to go for Novamarines I think, mainly because I love bleached bone with devlan mud wash (not going to conform to the new paint names). Going to try and give them a battle worn effect, blue and bone quaters for the marines, bone terminators with blue panels, bone dreadnaught with blue panels, bone sternguard with blue panels, maybe red heads for sergeants and ice blue eyes. Not a particularly interesting chapter Im sure (don't know much about it) but they should stand out on the battlefield, now if only there is a bleached bone spray can... | |

| There's a fair amount about the Novamarines in Imperial Armour 9: The Badab War Part 1 if you can get hold of it. To sum them up quickly for you... * Very strong adherents to the Codex Astartes (being 2nd Founding Ultras) * Their chapter livery is taken from their first Chapter Master's personal Heraldry and has remained pretty much unchanged since. * Can field their entire 1st Company in TDA (and have, one of their notable battles was their entire 1st Co cleansing a space hulk). * Extremely Xeno-phobic. Their chapter founder was noted as saying "When Mankind is alone in the cosmos, only then will we have achieve our destiny". *As such they have very strong ties to Death Watch There are rules for their 1st Company captain in IA9, typical captain in TDA who makes terminators scoring amoungst a couple of other bits. Should be a rather fun chapter, and plenty of modeling opportunities involving left over DE bits. | |

| I played Marines from 3rd edition to when the new DE codex came out. It's fun to see how "the other half" lives!
I would drop the 5 assault marines. You'll have a hard time getting any mileage out of them. I would use these points for additional cheap AT (such as another typhoon). You seem to have AI on lockdown.
The difficult part of this list is that your main Anti tank is Av12 (Dread) and Av10 (speeder). One really fun tactic to consider is to give the dread a drop pod and hit rear armor first turn. It causes a lot of chaos and possibly saves your speeders some fire.

| I was thinking along the same lines with the assault marines (just happens to be what I have!). I really like the idea of drop pod/dreadnaught and was considering getting a drop pod simply for this!
Lack of AT, agreed. The veterans will have 2 melta guns with them and there are plenty of melta bombs amongst the ranks. Hopefully the hammertermies can stunlock vehicles. Definatly considering a devastator squad for larger games!

| I'm a very big fan of a multi-melta-armed Dreadnought in a drop pod. Drop him next to a tank first turn, melt it, then watch as your opponent forgets their plan to focus way too much fire on that one model while the rest of your army does its job. | |

Army Painter do a bone coloured spray primer. Admittedly, I know your guys are already undercoated, but sure the fact it's primer won't matter. It's great for skeletons and the like, but sure it would be just as useful for these.
