| Good morning Commoragh! it's been a while since I played for the last time... almost 10 years. After I saw new Dark Eldar models I've decided to come back to the hobby. I've been reading this forum for a few days now and blow is my very first army list for DE. i've used to play 3rd and 4th edition Blood Angels but after seeing De models, I was sold. Ideally I'd like to create an assault oriented army, with some AV firepower (hybrid so to say). I know it's nto that easy with DE as these guys are so fragile. For now I'm just starting out with models I got (a battleforce, 2x Venoms, Reaver and 1 Haemoculus) I know it may sound stupid but I just picked up the models I liked visually. ( the battleforce for DEldar is great - 2 troops and a transport) Soon I will be facing new necrons and here is my list. Please comment (sorry for the long introduction) HQ: 1 Haemonculus - Liquifier Gun; Power Weapon, Splinter Pistol @ 70 Pts TROOPS: 8 Wyches SP & CCW, Haywire Grenades, Plasma Grenades @ 228 Pts 1 Hekatrix SP; Agoniser, Haywire Grenades, Plasma Grenades W/ Raider Night Shields; Flickerfield; Shock Prow; Dark Lance, Grizzly Trophies 5 Kabalite Warriors Splinter Rifle ,Blaster @ 125 Pts W/ Venom Flickerfield; Splinter Cannon (x2) 5 Kabalite Warriors Splinter Rifle ,Blaster @ 125 Pts W/ Venom Flickerfield; Splinter Cannon (x2) FAST: 3 Reavers Splinter Rifle (x2); Heat Lance(x1) @ 78 Pts HEAVY: Ravager Flickerfield; Night Shields; Dark Lance (x3) @ 125 Pts Models in Army: 27 Total Army Cost: 751

| Welcome back to this wonderful hobby. You did a really solid list, even tho you said you just picked what you liked. Luckily the the DE Codex only have some codex-corpses, namely Kheradruakh, the Archon's Court and the Voidraven Bomber. I would change the Shock Prow into Grisly Trophies. Your Wyches are the most expensive squad in your list, would be a pity if they get overrun. (Happened to me a lot so far :3) Your Venom's should get a second Splinter Cannon from somewhere. It's one of the best price/performance upgrades in the codex. I would drop the night shields for it, but that a personal preference. Oh I also would change the blaster of the Reavers into a Heatlance. Melter's are dope, pretty useful against against Monolith's and stuff. | |

| Servus! Danke fur deine Antwort:) I'll add the second splinter cannon on venoms although I'd have to remove the TL splinter rifles By adding Grizly trophies i'd be 1 point over 750.. without shock prow.. 4 under 750.. The plan is to get the wyches into CC as fast as possible - hopefully engage a shooty necron unit. Rest of my army would zoom around trying to kill some transports and infantry. I knwo I know .. it sounds good in theory.. I hope the gods of dice will be on my side mfg P | |

| not a bad list. My one comment is that you may find more use a venom blade than a power weapon on the Haemie. Heres the reason. You will find out soon enough that needing 5s to wound (as you will need with Wyches against anything T4 most of the time) is a pain in the ass. Now there are several ways to mitigate this. If you get a second pain token (wheither through drugs or killing something) will help him out drastically. Normally though you will find that it is better for the wyches to leave the old man in the raider and let him stay out of combat and due some template laying like he made to do. Hence a cheap option that almost guarrantee some wounds, which not really putting too much emphasis on him being in combat. | |

| well.. that was my plan to leave him in the raider and use the liquifier gun as I really do not want him in combat... 70pts in 1 guy with 1 wound.. hmmm not the best idea I guess Unless the raider get;s shot down (sooner or later - sooner most probably hehe) he'll have to walk into combat
I'm thinking about getting another wych squad in a raider or incubi...expensive point wise Sv3+ like a marine.. (the models are great) plus another ravager to get me up to 1000pts

They are too good not to use. After that do what you please. Incubi arent bad persay, but I find that the darklight curse is strong one, and with so much Mech running around, you can never have too much

| Hellions are not worth the fast attack slot, they are good in 15+ "deathstars" with Baron Sathonyx together, but that's it. Beastmasters are cool 'n stuff, but they tend to useless the first turns if you play a general DE raider+venom rush, due to her lack of speed.
They can work, but my fast attack slot's for example are filled with two 3xReaver squads and a 5x man Scourge group, which are both great tactical additions to a fast list, like most DE generals play.
