| So, brothers and sisters of the dark city. Besides calling in a favor with someone who owns a shattershard how do you go about disposing of a full Necron royal court? It can't be assaulted, lest they use mindshackle scarabs or other nasty tricks to control/destroy your soldiers. Save cheating good luck with your gunnery they can't be shot to death either, 2+ 3++ and 4+ res protocols.
Invulnerability besides, they can also teleport around the battlefield, so they can keep up with our craft... You can all probably figure out the problems associated with that.
My chaos ally and I were beat like cur-dogs, and some advice would be appreciated so we can make the soulless ones fear death.
What to do? | |

| much like everything else, focus fire and be mindful of the mission type as a court is not scoring. Once it is diseminated into squads they count as upgrade characters, and MSS are easy to avoid with fleeting wyches. RJF is sick, 4 monoscythe missiles, 6SC and 6 Dissies on the blob can be horrendous. That being said, I would make sure all your vehicles have nightshields, they typically max range @ 24" on 90% of their stuff. I don't even think the shattershard would work; it should but RAP ignores everything now . So until they FAQ it I wish you luck in your table discussions! | |

| Not sure where a Royal Court is getting a 2+/3++ save from. Lords and Crypteks have a basic 3+/ 4+ save respectively. Crypteks have no way to improve this other than a single piece of unique wargear which is horrendously overcosted and nobody in their right mind takes. If he's paying points to upgrade the Lords with Sempiternal Weaves and Phase Shifters then just torrent them down with splinter fire as you're killing T4, 1W, ~100 point models every time they fail a save! RP can be a pain but with sufficient weight of fire you will whittle them down. Just keep them away from your vehicles as the warscythes will do a number on them (although they will almost certainly need 6's to hit as you will presumably be on the move. | |

| That was it, 2+ on the lords and the regular loadout with five crypteks. His list was the full court, two squads of seven warriors and three monoliths. He didn't break the court up, rather just kept it in a big mob. Although I guess you guys are right. More poison and RJF should do it.... I thought the shattershard would work though, seeing as how it's not wounding but it's removing it from play. | |

| Just FYI,Mindshackle Scarabs cost 15 points per Lord, the 2+ save costs 15 points per Lord and the 3++ costs 45 points per Lord. If he's taking those then he has invested a lot of points in that unit and it will be worthwhile either focusing it down or avoiding it and taking out the rest of his army.
Also, If he's using the VoD to teleport around then he is also placing himself nicely for any template or blast weapons you can bring to bear.

| Noted, thanks guys. I usually run wych heavy, so I'll swap it up and bring out the kabalites for the extra poison. | |
