| Picture of some of the Dark Eldar figures I've done so far. If the images don't work, see them HERE. edit: images working now. Archon Ynderith and Incubi retinue. The white paint on the Incubi turned unusually thick so I had to remove the paint on their heads and redo it. Probably should've done it to their chests aswell, as some details were lost in painting. Heamonculi and Wracks from the Dark Labyrinth Coven. The Haemies are slightly converted Urien and an Old Haemonculus. The Wracks have the legs of Flagellants and torsos of Ghouls. Succubus and Wytches from the Cult of the Fatal Kiss. Here you can see my biggest weakness when it comes to painting. I can't paint faces to save my life. Atleast they look okay on the tabletop, but the derpyness of the Succubus does kinda annoy me. Perhaps I should just give her too a helmet... Some Warriors and Captain Ezash, my counts-as Duke conversion. His face ended up a bit better, but due to me using the head with half of one eye covered by hair, his eyes look kinda mismatched. Blasters! From left to right: Regular Blaster, Blaster converted from a Shredder, Blaster converted from a Splinter Rifle and Blaster converted from a Dark Lance. Raider and Ravager. The sails are magnetized. On a side note, the tesselating designs on the deck are a bitch to paint. I always end up with some silver paint stains on the deck under them. Converted Venom. It's made out of a Vyper with some pieces fom the old Raider, and has two old Splinter Cannons where the Vyper's Shuricen Catapult would go. Reavers. The one with the flame designs is armed with a Heatlance (the weapon itself isn't visible due to the angle). Beastmasters. If GW thinks I'm paying 110€ for 10 Khymerae, they're sadly mistaken. All my beatsmasters are converted out of Hellions exept that one guy since I managed to pick up the model for cheap. Talos, affectionately known as Murder Machine 1.0. Will be replaced my Murder Machine 2.0 (now with 27% more Murder!).

| ^^Right click on the pic and select view image. Then use THAT url. The ones you've got seem to lead to a comments page, not direct links to the pic. | |

Those orbs made me think for a moment they were juggling! I think it is looking good, but the shading needs to be worked on - I think for example that the runes on the klaives could use a Thraka Green wash, just as the incubi helmets could have a asurmen blue wash (or not be completely white but highlighted up from grey to white). | |

| I got two Venoms and another box of warriors yesterday. Venoms. I switched the heads and torsos of the Wytch gunners with the Kabalites. Had to keep the Wytch legs because the Kabalite ones didn't fit in the place properly. I needed some more Wytches so I based the hanger-ons. After seeing some nice Dark Eldar objective markers here, I got the desire to make my own so I raided my bits box for suitable pieces. Once I get my Talos and Chronos, I'll probably add some of the extra Talos arms onto the excruciation table there. As for the remaining warriors, two will be used for the gunners for the other two Venoms I need and two will be made into Shardcarbine trueborn. The remaining ones will get blasters and one might be made into a Sybarite. | |

| I love your markers and the wych on the far left. The wych on the right looks like she's about to fall over. | |

| She's supposed to be dodging a blow. The hanger-ons are pretty hard to pose without cutting and greenstuffing and I didn't want them to have identical poses, so I made her lean backward (the second on the left has the same legs but leans forward). | |

| Finally got some more models done. Haemonculi and Wracks, including one scratchbuild from Talos and Wytch parts. Grotesques made form Talos parts and Chaos Spawns. Not going to buy the expensive monopose ones from GW, but I had some Spawns laying around and the Talos kits come with tons of extra parts. Razorwing jetfighter. The weapons are magnetized so I can easily swap loadouts. The base has a Guardsman I found in my bit box and a broken Eldar statue from Dire Avenger box (I have a bunch of those since I also have some Eldar, and desided to use them on my Dark Eldar). A better view on the Razorwing. | |

| I somehow missed this thread and found it just now after Googling for converted Grotesques.
Your Grots converted from Chaos Spawn are excellent, Nomic. Unique among the conversions that I have seen so far.
Their physique is not dissimilar to the proppa ones, except for the skinny arms. Maybe bulk them up with a bit of GS? But even if you don't, these are very effective, very intimidating.
Well done! | |
