| This popped up on Kirby's "3++ is the new black" site, and has been re-posted on Dakka et al. http://projectbiomorph.com/index.php?topic=181.0 No timeline hinted at, apart from a mid-2013 guesstimation, and completely unsubstantiated. But IF at all true, it offers some fascinating hints at possible future directions with CWE as an army and as an ally. Shadow Spectres, Raiders/Corsairs, Dragon Riders, and a Webway Gate terrain piece. Would seem to mesh with other hints of FW going mainstream and specialty, niche armies and codexes possibly appearing. Other rumours put an Eldar flyer in the next flyer wave, along with Tau and Tyranids. - Kirby wrote:
- Been informed there are some Eldar boxes floating around warehouses. How long they get sat on before a codex is released though, who knows. I'm going to guess around a year off. We know CSM are next and then Dark Angels with the Hobbit crashing into scenes December, that could push DA back to early 2013. So mid 2013 is the likely bet for Eldar is something doesn't shove them out of the way.
Here's what I've been told re: boxes. No rules.
plastic Warpspiders/Everguard plastic Skycharriots/Shining Spears plastic Phantomwaechter - these might be the shadow spectres? plastic Jetbikes plastic Wraithguard/Cataphracts plastic flyer combi-kit - The flyer is pretty large and has a crossbow shape, two canopies, one fin. The main variant on the cover has some lances and a large dorsal distort cannon. The other variant has extra downward/sideway thrusters, but I don’t remember if it has a different weapon loadout. plastic phoenix lord niadhau - For Shining Spears, appears to be on a Vyper jetbike. plastic webway gate resin box Avatar resin Black Warden - The Black Warden looks like an female Autarch. She has a shurikencatapult and a feathered guardian helm with an eye on it. resin Dire Avenger Xentarch - Appears to be a new English name for Exarch? resin Howling Banshee Xentarch resin Fire Dragon Xentarch resin Striking Scorpion Xentarch resin box Dragon Riders resin box Eldritch Raiders - They look like guardians but have no helms and wear scarfs around the lower head and swashbuckle belts. They are very individually equipped, have all sorts blades, pistols and/or rifles. (potentially Storm Guardians?) resin box Halcones Cazadores resin Warlock
Have at it! | |

| Eldritch Raiders are Yriel's crew, though they may get impressed into service as Trueborn. | |

| It's odd, but the two things I'm most excited by are plastic Warpspiders and plastic Webway Gates (drool). | |

| Seeing as (and it pains me to admit this due to earlier scepticism) GW's resin stuff is getting better I will actually start a CWE army when the new Codex is released. With the plastic Warp Spiders I think I know what direction my army shall go in, as I've always loved deep strikey units. | |

| I'm going to be very sceptical about this. Boxes of models in a warehouse for a codex that's not due till middle of next year? Don't think so, haven't heard a whisper about chaos stuff sitting in warehouses and that's due to be released in about a month if rumours are to be believed. Jes Goodwin was being quizzed at the 40k open day about new eldar jetbikes and his response was that no-one had pressed the go button for him to go further with it. Now granted, he could be stalling and avoiding putting his foot in it, but it just seems way too early for this. | |

| Plastic Warp Spiders and Wraithguard make me happy. Too bad it's going to be a long wait, even if true. | |

| I'm in the same skeptic boat with TBE on these rumors, especially the "warehouse full of boxes bit. The plastic Wraithguard with some sort of a variant would truly be welcomed to get a sculpt on the table that isn't 15 years old. The rest of the list would probably make my head explode if it was half true

| @Dominus Nox. Probably, seems like a lot of the titles are dodgy translations, phantomwaetcher is wraithguard for example | |

| It would explain his absence in the current codex, I mean becoming a Phoenix Lord is something that probably takes more than one edition change. | |

He was in the 3rd ed Craftworld Eldar Book (the one with all the different craftworld armies) - Enfernux wrote:

I don't know what gave you that idea? He is by far the most iconic Eldar character, it would be like saying 6th ed DE don't get Vect!!

| @TBE&Mushkilla: read eldrad fluff, he is going to die...sort of...he gives up his material body to and i qoute: Eldrad entered the Blackstone Fortress's psychic matrix and pitted his soul against its corrupted heart. In that instant, his mortal body was gone, and all but a handfull of his waystones become lifeless and dull. he is going to die | |

| yah, and you could be playing a uthwae army before the 13th black crusade???
or how about one of the many eldrad clones??? (I mean everyone own DYI craftworld has to have an eldrad clone)
Just because a character might be dead in the fluff, doesnt mean they take him out. Take a look at Lysander, he died, and came back in the 5th ed marine dex

| @Shadows: well, at your flgs, you may be able to pull this trick, but on a tourney...you cant bring a counts as, if it isnt in the dex @Mushkilla: read the fluff on him, and you will see there is only a slim to none chance he could survive the process. With those odds, i wouldnt think so @Ruke: since his pimp mobile isnt viable any more to cast spells, i dont think anyone will be taking him, exc. a footdar list, but then the unite only moves 6" instead of 8" a turn. anyway, do i need to quote the whole section of eldrads demise for you guys to accept this pr what? | |

| Being canonically dead rarely stops characters from being playable. Eldrad Ulthran and Captain Tycho are explicitly dead in their current codex entries. Warhammer Fantasy has much the same with Alith Anar and all the Von Carsteins other than Mannfred, who died centuries (or in Alith Anar's case millennia) before the current period. | |

| ^ well yeah, but in all games i participate and i see an Eldrad count as while he is not in the dex, i will not play. If he IS in the dex by some trickery of the laughing god, i will submit. untill then, hes playable, after, we will see off: on canon: its like if our GM in star wars would bring in qui-gon in to play after his death as a live character...and you can guess what we all would do then... off again: about qui-gon... | |

Exactly my thought! WHERE?! Oh and back to topic... I do look forward to their new codex. Damm me if it is not Phill Kelly who is the author...and I can't wait for new sculpts for those guardians...not because they look that bad, but it is just that those proportions are to cartoonish for me. I hope they get the more ''realistic'' look that our warriors have. If you understand what I mean
