| Warseer update! There currently appears to be a monkey screaming and throwing his own feces at anyone who will listen. His name is Fle They've just now realized that FAQ answers don't actually exist in a bubble of that particular codex/unit/paragraph/sentence/moment in time. OMFG CONTEXT MATTERS?! ...except for Fle, of course. Well, it was worth a try guys, but at this rate it would take 2 months for them to figure out that the rule actually does say Sybarites are an upgrade and not a separate model. | |

| Oh dear...
The arguments since I last looked are, if anything, even more ridiculous than the previous points. I'm particularly enjoying the argument that the Ork FAQ doesn't prove anything because it only applies to that specific question but for some reason the DA FAQ applies to everything, everywhere.
Oh, and the "if there are two ways of arriving at a destination, one legal and the other not, you can't prove which way you went so it's illegal either way" argument is so full of holes that I'm thinking of putting fish in it.

I'm not quite sure, to be honest. I know the conclusion on GW intentions were that squad leaders shouldn't have heavy/special weapons. As for the actual rule debate. It's Ork FAQ, vs DA FAQ vs the world. Something along those lines.

| I don't think anyone came up with any convincing RAW argument why this was wrong. Given that the thread was 18(?) pages long, that leads me to think that it's legal (RAW). The DA FAQ did however make me believe that this is possibly not the intention. There is however then the counter argument that if they specifically changed the DA codex entry to disallow this, why did they not do so with our codex? Anyway, I wouldn't normally kick up a fuss about this sort of thing. If however, I was playing one of the more vocal opponents in that thread, I would deliberately put it in my list to see them explode | |

| I think Count Adhemar summed the debate up very well. | |

| Don't understand that when you want to discuss RAW, people tend to get so worked up.
Ofcourse you won't 'abuse' loopholes in friendly games. But rules are important, 'cause we all need to play the same game.
