I'm playing in a tournament in October. It's going to be my first 40k tournament in many years, and I'm developing my DE army with it in mind.
The tournament is 2000 points, one Primary Detachment, 0-1 Fortifications, no allies.
Here's what I'm looking at fielding:
Haemonculus with liquifier gun (60)
Kabalite Trueborn with blasters x4 (108)
Venom with second splinter cannon, night shields (75)

Kabalite Warriors x9, with one blaster, plus Sybarite (115)

Scourges x10, with haywire blasters x4 (260)
Reaver Jetbikes x6, with cluster caltrops x2 (172)

Ravager with night shields (115)

Razorwing Jetfighter with flickerfield and night shields (165)
The Haemonculus will ride along with one of the Trueborn squads. He'll take the Strategic warlord traits, which may prove a dud with Master of Ambush but enhances the army with every other result (especially Night Attacker).
The army is pretty straight-forward. Everything in it flies over terrain at high speeds and unloads massive firepower, allowing me to focus firepower on specific targets while preventing my opponent from bringing his guns to bear. There are a total of 11 dark lances, 11 blasters, and 4 haywire blasters, giving me a lot of anti-tank even without wyches.
I feel like I need more scoring units, and worry that the Scourges will be a points sink. As great as haywire blasters are, that still leaves 60% of the unit standing around doing nothing while the HWB shoot at vehicles, or alternately 40% of the squad contributing almost nothing when shooting at non-vehicle units.
Thoughts?
