I wish he had some more monsters

you know, I wish I had a excuse to convert a dark eldar archon riding a either a dragon or a manticore or have a hydra in a beast master unit.

any other cool opportunities for giant monsters in a dark eldar force you can think of?

Grotesques maybe......or if your thinking monsters in gaming terms how about an Allied detachment of Khaine w/ a Wraithlord.....

Rules wise one could be used as a razorwin jetfighter. Fast, tall and maybe armored with lotsa missiles (or fire breath attacks) The squishyness is just a problem

Personally I would go for Pterosaurs/Dinosaurs. Just say they nicked a couple from the Exodites while their backs were turned.

...I'm now having images of a Warrior poking his head out of a webway portal, checking that everything's clear, running out with the rest of his squad behind him, all of them picking up a dinosaur and running away with it back into the webway, leaving a befuddled dinosaur farmer.

Indeed, to those who claim that the Dark Elves are the Fantasy counterpart to the Dark Eldar I say nay! The Skaven have a labyrinth that spreads across the Old World allowing them to travel quickly and secretly to launch raids and take slaves, the most sneaky and back-stabbing are in charge because they take it, they have fancy technology which looks like magic (well in their case it is because it's warpstone), and they have mad doctor type guys who make fleshy abominations and bizarre contraptions.

Ever since they released the Hellpit Abomination I've wanted to throw some Talos kits at it.Only problem is I can't paint flesh to save my soul.

However if you want monsters in a Dark Eldar army I'd say it's fairly easy, just work out some good counts as. For example I've considered converting some Thundertusks to Ravager counts as for a planned "Ice Age" Exodite army.

its an old white dwarf article with optional rules for various critters, to most memorable was the "lesser catachan barking toad".

I know someone that has an old hydra I might have to pick up off of them.
