aegis defence line and its guns!

so i was playing a game the other day. and it was the first time i ran aegis defence line with the quad gun. and during deployment my opponent and i were confused on where the gun can be deployed. unless i didnt see it in the rulebook, it has nothing about gun placements.

so does that mean that gun can go anywhere? or does it have to stay a certain range from the defence line?

I don't have the rule book in front of me but I'm pretty sure it says all of the defense line pieces have to be touching another defense line piece

Rules book says that the pieces must be touching... Pictures always show it within something like 2 or 3 inches of the actual wall models but not actually touching the wall pieces. Basically in a manner that looks like the wall was built to protect the gun or that the gun was build to augment the existing wall. I'd side with "do as GW does" not says on this one and put it near or behind the wall in a place that makes it apparent that they are one piece, not two seperate pieces so that the squad using the wall can both gain the cover of the wall and operate the gun at the same time.

anyways: defense line: its called a line for a reason, and separate walls dont make a line ^^
