500 point lists, need help

So its been a very long time but I have finally unshelved my dark eldar for normal play after collecting a few models. As is, I might plan on making a 500 pt list to bring to a tourney however; my mistakes with them before haunt me so... I have made 3 lists that i might bring and would like imput and advice on them or others that have been good for you.

I have a total of:
warriors/ trueborn x 32
wyches x 27
wracks (old school) x 6
reavers x7
beast master x1
warp beasts lol x3
Archon x1
Haemonculus x2
Drazhar x1
Urien x1
Lelith x1

My lists are as follows:

List 1
Raider- Dark lance and Flicker Field
Archon- Blaster, drugs, shadow field, djin blade, cc weapon
Wyches x 9- 1 shardnet and impaler, 1 hyrda Gaundlet, with drugs and pistols
Raider- dark lance and Flicker Field
Warriors x10- 1 Splinter Cannon, 1 Blaster rest with Rifles.


List 2
Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Haemonculi- Liquifer Gun

Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Warriors x5- 1 Blaster and 4 Rifles

Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Warriors x5- 1 Blaster and 4 Rifles

Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Warriors x5- 1 Blaster and 4 Rifles


List 3
Venom-Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Archon- Blaster, Ghost Plate Armor, Haywire
Blasterbornx3- 3 blasters

Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Warriors x5- 1 Blaster and 4 Rifles

Venom- Flicker flield and 2 Splinter Cannons
Warriors x5- 1 Blaster and 4 Rifles


Sadly no matter how many splinter cannons I fire I can only seem to wound 3 guys a turn. dice roll sticks at those yet blasters always work for me sigh*

Any suggestions or remarks about these lists? I was going for more troops and more targets for the enemy? I know that least 1 tau player is competing and seem to remember only playing (and do bad to tau as my DE) dont have much experience with them sadly manly after overwatch -.-

First, list 1 is illegal, the wyches are 9 models strong, so they cant have 2 wych weapons.
List 2 is also illegal, the hamy can´t take a dedicated transport.

My advice from personal experience whuld be to use the sucubbuss for hq, she is cheep, hava a god iv save. Give her a venomblade and she’s a good to go.
I don’t like warriors with blasters, my blaster warrior never preform, and never do anything usful.
Rever jetbikes is a lot of fun, perhaps a squad of those, 6 bikes with two heatlances are nice.
Have you considers using wyches? I love them in this edition; they are the only troupe I ever use nowadays.

The Archon is confused and terrible, if you want him to go into combat drop the blaster, at 500 points probably also drop teh drugs. The Djin Blade is not particularly good (Beacsue of Str 3), I'd swap it for an Agoniser or Venom Blade.

Drop the illegal weapon on the Wyches. If you want to assault with these you need a Plasma Grenade Launcher for Stealth against Overwatch, you could put this on the Archon.

Your raider needs Splinter Racks, you don't need Flickerfields.

Overall this list is too small, can't deal with anti tank and has too little in the way of scoring units. Not very good.

You can't have that venom on Your Haemie.

Thes warrior units are OK, although I would be tempted to drop one for 2x 3 Wracks with Venoms and 2 Splinter Cannon. Or drop one and the Liquifier on the Hamie for 1 x 3 Wracks with Venom and 2 Splinter Cannon and 1 Ravager.

Youa re again light on anti tank. The Ravager option would fix this.

I'd probably drop the Archon and Blasterborn for Haemie/Wracks/Ravager as in 2. Again you are low on long range anti vehicle.

So a suggested list I guess is:

1st List discussion:
As for the 1st list, I was under the impression that wyches get 1 weapon per 5 models in the squad. Do not the character/ Ind. character rules treat one as another squad member in terms of rules etc? Threw me off because it didn't say 5 models of wyches but simply 5 models which I had assumed would count the character as well. wishful thinking??? (like i said before, its been a long time since i played wyches)
Totally agree with what was said about the 1st list though. Succubis seemes better I was just relying on the shadow fielded archon. The last match i used it well until the last 2 turns where I almost killed myself. Venom blade it is. With the way DE are and even good placement it is very fragile with few scoring and few means to get them places. Dropping that list.


2nd List Discussion:
Haha thanks for the good eyes. Thats what I get when posting so late. Scratch the haemy venom solo. Silly me. The best option for this list is to make it 2 venoms with warriors and blaster and haemy and wracks on 3rd venom which should leave me some points to spare on something else.

I understand about the warriors being mixed in purpose, but as mentioned before this list is in dire need of AV weapons and I rather put 3 blasters in different venoms then 3 blasters in the same one (blasterborn) at these points for purpose of duplicity in my unit selection.


3rd List Discussion:
I don't know about the ravager at this point. It deffinately looks like a juicy buy though.


Overall thoughts:
Flicker fields on the 1st list was mostly for things that ignor cover/jink saves but I am still experimenting on them since 6th edition. This is one of the reason i fear taking reavers atm. flamers and cover stripping weapons will be definately something showing up in the armies im going against.

I am on a ledge in terms of wyches. They are great but overwatch completely devestates them against rapid fire enemies. Any suggestions? i tried PGL to good use but +1 to such a low save makes them still warrior like saves unless i am reading that wrong.

500 point list with reavers? wont that damper my options for scoring unless i run wracks in raiders?

Yep, I would recommend sticking to the Venoms for the cannons. I was trying to stick close to your intent and implied play style with the list suggestions, glad to be of use.
