2X 750 Lists for upcoming tourney need C&C

So it's my first tourney in 6th, and I'm in need of a little help. Why the TO chose 750 as the point value is beyond me, but I'm game. Before I post the lists, here are the relevant facts:

1) I usually play at much higher point values.
2) Everyone in the tourney is expecting me to bring venom spam (what I usually dominate with), so I want to do something a little different.
3) I know there will be fliers in more than one other list.
4) I expect at least orks, eldar, necrons, and probably GK at the event.

Given all that, I came up with 2 basic lists.

List A:

Archon w/ Blaster -- 75pts

\\Troops
2 Squads:
5X Warriors w/ Blaster in Raider w/ nightshields, racks -- 140pts ea. (280 total)

\\Heavy
2X Ravager w/ nightshields -- 115pts ea. (230 total)
Razorwing Fighter w/ flicker and nightshields -- 165pts

Naked Haemie -- 50

5X Warriors in Raider w/ NS, racks -- 125 (Haemie goes here)
2 Squads:
3X Wracks in Venom w/ 2SC -- 95 ea. (190 total)

2X Ravager w/ nightshields -- 115 ea. (230 total)
Razorwing Fighter w/ NS-- 155

The first list nearly maximizes the number of DL I can take at 750, but is really weak on AI. Also the 3 blasters won't have much to fire on most of the time since the whole goal is to stay out of range of enemy guns if possible. I'm not really worried about assault or counter assault. At this level, I figure it's best just to focus on one purpose and long range shooting is it.

The second list drops a lance and adds some much needed AI from the venoms, but for some reason, I'm sweatting the loss of an upgrade on the Warriors and FF on the Razorwing.

I could replace the razorwing with a dissie ravager and have room for more warriors in the boat and a few upgrades, but I really want to keep it in the list. Irrational I know, but there it is.

So that's about it. Critique away, please.

List A- Don't need that much HS at 750( I only run 1 Ravager at 1000), drop that and take some warriors in venoms. I would take a unit of blasterborn too, for your archon to go in.

List B- Again WAYYY too much AT, your opponents are probably not going to have that many tanks at 750(DE can just field a lot of vehicles at any point value). More troops less HS.

I like list 2 although I'd swap the Nightshield on the raider for a Splinter cannon on the plane and the nightshield on the plane for a Flickerfield (you don't want to be forced to evade).

I'd also swap the warriors in raider for 5 Wracks, Liquifier, Venom. More ranged splinter fire and you have AT covered with ravs and plane. It also gives you a flamer and a capable assault unit/durable scoring

Thanks for the help. I like the suggestion of replacing the warrior boat with a wrack venom. Makes sense, and gives me a good 36 splinter shots. Should be good for the list.

Thank you for reminding me about the evade on the plane. Don't know why I put NS on there instead of FF. Maybe it was late. Would like to put a SC on the plane as well, but after swapping the warriors out, there aren't enough points.

I agree that my initial lists had too much AT. I have always gone a bit overboard in that area. Even in 1000 point lists I have never had less than 2 ravagers and frequently include 3. If the opponent is busy shooting down my 115 pt. ravagers, they aren't worrying about the 125 pt. warrior venoms or 146+ pt blasterborn. Instead of making them just sit back and shoot, I usually play them very agressively, making my HS slots appear far more threating than they are. It's worked so far, but I don't expect it to at a national level.

Anyway, thanks again. If anyone is interested, I will try to work up a batrep or two from the tourney. They are scheduled to be fast games, so I might have to work from memory (as bad as it is).
