So I havent played 40k in a few years and have been over the past few months building up an army. I have a basic idea of how I want my army to look visually, but there are certain things that I am having trouble with such as suggestions as to what sort of weapons would work best, etc. I'm going to list the assmebled army first and then remaining stuff at the end. I am trying to make a decent army from what I have so I can go and play next Saturday, so any help and input is appreciated.

HQ - "Dark Eldar Lord" w/Huskblade + Soultrap (working on my fluff, debating on using as Archon or Haemon)

Troops
- 18 Wyches, 2 Hekatrix w/Agonisers
- (3 extra wyches to be upgraded with special weapns)
- 9 Wracks (custom models, think wyches on steroids like Bane from Batman, all with the dome heads)
- Transports: 3 Raiders
Elites
-9 Incubi
Fast Attack
- 6 Scourges w/ Shardcarbines, 3 Scourges (Unsure of what weapons to use)
- 2 Beastmasters, 5 Khymera, 2 Flocks
Heavy Support
- Chronos w/ all upgrades
- Talos (unsure of what weapons to upgrade, slightly confused how the weapons work with random attacks, any explanation on it all would be extremely helpfull.)
- Ravager (is magnetized, can be used as additional Raider)

Unassembled - 8 Wyches, 1 Raider, 3 Reavers ,1 Raider, 3 Wracks (custom ones)

----well thats my army at the moment. As I get the parts (those rounded heads) I plan on making at least another 10-15 of my "Wracks". IMO they came out pretty good and fit the look of my army. The only other thing I was thinking of adding was a trio of Haemonculos (some with WWP's). I wanna use Haemons as both a way to pass the paintoken to a unit in the begining, and to have extra characterfull addition to a squad with a cool weapon. Also was wanting to eventually make a Court for my Archon, just for the cool factor of all the random aliens and creatures. AnywaySorry for the long rant, figured id post some all the ideas I had for the army to try to help visualize the look I'm going for the army. If anyone has any helpfull hints in making a list out of what I have already assmbled any help would be great. Thanks in advanced.

Should of mentioned that, proably would of been smart Wink

The people at the store said they want to play at about 1500+ points. I'm just trying to figure out what is the best configuration to do it with what I have assembled already. Because I know I don't have alot of transports. Also, I guess it would be important to know that I also have a Webway portal.

Okay here's what using your stuff can get you

HQ
Haemonculus WWP, Liquifier, Venom blade

Troops

9 Wracks w/liquifier
in Raider

8 wyches w/haywires including hekatrix w/agoniser

8 wyches w/haywires including hekatrix w/agoniser

8 wyches w/haywires including hekatrix w/agoniser

Elites

6 incubi in Raider

Fast Attack

5 Scourges w/ 2 haywire blasters

3 Reavers 1 w/cluster caltrops

2 Beastmasters w/5 Khymaera 2 Razorwing Flocks

Heavy

Talos with chain flails and haywire blaster (random attacks apply in cc - normaly a talos gets 1d6 attacks plus bonus for extra weapon and/or charging - so up to 1d6+2 chain flails allows you to roll 2 dice and pick the highest)

Chronos w/ all

Ravager w/flickerfield

Uses what you've got and should be pretty nasty just remember get the portal down turn one no matter what.

I like the list you came up with. I had something similiar to it at sometime. There are a few questions I have however.

- the following models aren't assembled yet and I dont think can be fixed up in time : a)8 Wyches, b) Reavers. I can upgrade the two Wych squads to 9 however. Also, still trying to figure out how I am going to make liquifiers look on my Wrack conversions and I don't have one yet.


I have a weird custom figure I put together to use as a cheap WWP Haemon. (Warrior Torso, Wych legs, Wood elf mask/hood w/Venomblade and a WWP orb in hand). He is painted in a contrasting color than the rest of my army and sort of resembles Reptile from Mortal Kombat. The thing is, he does look more like a Wych than a Haemon, but maybe I can still do something to him. Will get a picture of him sometime if people wanna see. Also need to figure out how to add a liquifier gun to him. Still tho, I figure I can get away using that model for Saturday as is ,which works and is good enough for now, and works as a WWP carrier.

I still am want to make another Haemon with a WWP, but with a different weapon. Perhaps with something more "Coven" in style like a claw or something. I am thinking that three models in my "Coven" can have their own look depending on which unit they are joining. For example, if one would be joining a Wrack unit, it would be beefed up to look like some special Wrack. I even had the idea of arming it with a Agonizer and using one of the Chronos tenticles as a whip. (Im just still fututre brainstomring)



- Lastly, I really want to add in my custom character. It may not be the most efficient (putting so many points in a unit), but I love tooled up character models. Gives a chance to make some really characterfull conversions. That being said here is my Dark Eldar "Lord" (can be used as an Archon or a Haemon w/ Huskblade + Soultrap (im sure the Soultrap could count as some other arcane wargear tho) Just to give you an idea, here is a WIP of the character. Can't you see why I wanna use him? What do you think, Archon or Haemon for now; and if Archon what other special parts should he have other than the weapons listed. Also what unit would you recommend throwing him in for now, because I highly doubt I'll get a Court ready in time.

I thank you all for reading my posts. Was in a car accident few months back and sometimes things just don't sink in. Looking for explainations before I glue stuff as I really wanna try and start playing again.
