Asdurbael in list

Im curious if someone actually plays Vect. Im playing 2vs2 tomorrow 3000 per side (1500 pts each player), and was wondering if he is worth the slot. For now I have something like this:

Vect
3x 3 Trueborns /3 blasters in Venoms
4x 5 Kabalites /w blaster in Venoms
3x Ravager

Never fielded vect, and I know he got a bit nerfed in 6th with his Ap 3, but he still seems solid shooter, great in cc, and of course 4+ steal. But for 240 points I could get Archon with blaster and another Venom with Kabalites. As my list is shooty, getting first turn is rather crucial.

Also which unit is best to join Vect? Warriors, Wyches or Wracks?

Vect is almost always in my armies for tournaments. going first is crucial to the jink saves for skimmers, and he is a marine killer.

If you put him with the trueborn:
they are fearless
they reroll all "1's" to hit AND to wound
in both shooting and hand to hand.


I would field him with 4x bloodbrides/haywire/hydra/champ w/venom
that is a perfect tarpit/counter assault unit.

Yeah, he is still a beast, only a beast against non 2+ units. Throw him against a unit of 10 MEQ and watch 'em fall to his power.

As for dealing with 2+, thats what Lances, Blasters, Heat Lances, Splinter Cannons and Rending CC are for.
