So somehow I lost this site in some upgrades, glad I've re-found it. Thought I'd come and share the progress of a couple scratch build projects.
First, my go at building a Tormentor Titan. Which just recently got used in the MWG Apocalypticon Event as a Phantom Titan.
Basic Assembly of the Titan
Base coated and ready for some count's as play
I have some gems I need to go back over and add to some places, and of course add more paint. But I was pretty happy with the overall project. I'm still not entirely happy with the head, I may re-visit it, or even just replace it in the future.

This was originally started as an attempt to make a Raven that I was happy with. I've never really liked the Forge World one, and I certainly wasn't going to pay that amount when I could probably build one out of an old Raider. So with about 9 old Raider/Ravagers kicking around in various states of disrepair now I started on a new Dark Eldar flyer.
My initial thought was to take inspiration from the existing model line, since they did such a great job with it. So I started by sketching out a wing shape inspired by the Hellion skyboards. I found it sate a little wide, and didn't quite have that jet fighter feel I wanted. So I tried a couple nose configurations, and eventually decided to replicate the inspiration that gave me the wings, the new DE model line. So I tried to make the nose resemble the front of the new Reaver Jetbikes. I took the templates and cut them into some thick styrene we had left over from a bathroom reno.
Early progress
Quick finishing so it was playable

Cool stuff! I've been kicking around the idea of using the Fire Prism turret as the base of a Raven conversion, though I must admit that my scratchbuild skills aren't on par with yours. Interesting idea to use the Tormentor as a Phantom

Can you post a picture of the unfinished jet that can be enlarged? I've been kicking some ideas around and would love to get a better look at your job there. Thanks
