| So a Dreadnaught was assaulting my Wyches. Ofcourse they were carrying Haywire Grenades. The BRB says it's 'assault 1'. So I tell the guy that I want to chuck it in overwatch. He was already ranting on haywires and HPs, so now he was getting really annoyed (hihi jerk ) and started furiously searching through the rules. He didn't find anything which says I can't and let me... ---Not important for question--- Ofcourse I threw a 6 and took off a HP *points and laughs* and I strike first on I6, so I stripped off the rest of the HPs of this über expensive Blood Angel dread with blood talons which would tear my wyches a new one. So yeah, I found this extremely funny, 'cause the guy could see, just a turn b4 this turn, what haywires can do! Dummy! ------- So chucking haywires in overwatch. Any objections? | |

| Doesn't seem to be a problem. Not a blast weapon, can be thrown instead of a normal shooting attack. Seems okay. | |

| You can only throw 1 per squad...but you can throw it on overwatch as far as I can tell. | |

| That's just plain nasty. If he don't charge you, you will shoot and fight with haywire. If he charge you will overwatch and fight with haywire That is just crazy! | |

| I'm not sure I understand why he let his Dreadnought get that close and, more importantly, why he thought he could take them out anyway?
Even without the overwatch, it would have been a bad move on his part. Good move for you though!

Even without the overwatch, it would have been a bad move on his part. Good move for you though! Bad general with an internet list used to playing other internet lists? Blood Talons can usually push through alot of wounds, but if they aren't used to wyches/DE in general it's hard.

| - I only chucked 1, don't worry. I knów the rules as opposed to him. - It was indeed a bad move on his part. I think a desperate move to be honest. He nééded to shift those Wyches or concede an objective on his deploymentzone. So yeah... I knew I wasn't doing anything illegal. Just checking. Thnx for the replies guys. | |
