750 Re-Rematch Vs. Crons [with pictures]

Mission was Relic, Hammer and Anvil. I depolyed and went First, taking DZ 'B'.


I deploy with the general idea of "screw the mission, you're off the table when I'm done with you" - One warrior squad in the top of the tower, everything else behind cover.
He deploys with his HQ in the back (he got the warlord trait for Feel no Pain... not sure why they were not in my face right off the bat... Crons + FNP are hard to shift)


Turn 1 - he fails to seize, I wipe a destroyer team off the table. and kill 1 warrior (the rest get back up)
He puts a hull point on the Darklance Ravager.


Turn 2 - Should have moved the Raider up and snatched the objective... but I didn't, was still just thinking I'd shoot him up and be good. Anyway remove the 2nd Destroyer team, and perm another warrior with a beautiful sniper shot from the raider. Everything else is saved with cover, armor or WBB rolls.
He destroys a SC on the venom at the bottom of the map, all other shots from him were horrible misses.


Turn 3 - my requisite stupid move... forgot to properly premeasure, dissie ravager and venom are both out of range... perm out 3 warriors. To my luck his shot all wiff really baddly, but his normal warriors grab the objective.


Turn 4 - the formost warrior squad is easily removed from the table.
He finishes what he started on the venom at the bottom of the map.


Night does not fall yet. The venom's occupants move forward and put shots on the HQ squad. Everything else unloads on the one remaining necron squad, and most of the models a wounded but the conbination of FNP and WBB results in a net of 2 destroyed Necrons.
He finally pull of killing his nemisis, the Dissie Ravager.


Turn 6 - Everyone unloads Everything on the remaining Warrior Squad, but again the combination of FNP and WBB leaves models on the table. He fires back and nets no kills... He may have put a hull point on something... can't remember.

End Result
DE 1 (First Blood) vs. Crons 3 (Relic) - Victory Necron.

What I should have done - 1 run for the objective right away... 2 Not wasted a turn of Dissie goodness

Awesome report! Love the Visio drawings and showing two player turns per picture (really makes it feel like a flowing battle). Looks like it was a close game and good fun too.

Looking forward to the next report.

2 weeks, 1k, Expect rough Army lists by say... Wednesday! I'll probably drum up 4 odd lists... maybe 1 with a named in it, we shall see.
