Can you ID these models?

Ok, I'm going out on a whim here but here goes....



This is an image from the new WD with the WD team sitting round a table and there is this picture on the wall.
Stickmonkey told me new DE characters would be out Oct/Nov...

A, I don't recognise these models.
B, They're in the new style of WD photography
C, They have dark jade and a pale flesh tone to them, a la DE.
D, The one on the right strikes me as Malys, on the left could be Duke.

Tell me what they are or aren't!

kinda looks fantasy-esque to me, mind you these aging eyes can only really make out the swordmaster looking fig in the top right.

They aren't....legible. Seriously, is there a better shot? I can wait for next month

They could be dark elves; I heard a rumor over at druchii.net about dark elves getting new stuff next year.

The top left seems to be jumping or floating, and the left one has kind of a Warlock pose, doesn't it? Long robes and an outstretched, two-handed sword? But the light ochre colored robes make it look like a Coven unit...

I can tell you that, in the iPad edition, those yellow blocks look as though they've been digitally added. Someone's keeping secrets.

I would hazard a guess at the figure on the right being either Duke or Malys based on the blade and fleshy robes. Jes was taking about Malys a bit at Games Day. He didn't say much, only how he imagined her to look - impressive robes and hair basically - which suggests she may have been on his mind recently. The Duke would also be logical due to his popularity with Jes, Phil and most Dark Eldar players.

Not sure about the other ones. Vect should really get a model soon due to him being the main guy but surely they'd do him with the Dias again? They could be the Decapitator as well I guess. Don't know, very hard to make them out. I would love for them to be Drazhar. I know he recently got updated into Finecast but that didn't stop the Hive Tyrant. From the little I can make out, they don't look much like him though. Perhaps they could be more Haemonculi?

I think they're Dark Elves, the unit to the left looks like Mengil Manhide and his Shades.

I don't want to kill any hopes here but I feel like I should just point out that the poster next to the one with the models is Blanchitsu. This suggests that maybe, just maybe, the models are in fact just some models John Blanche has done. I hope they are new Dark Eldar but they could well be some random stuff from Blanche. Thing is, the pics are just too small to tell with any amount of confidence either way. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

if this is just random stuff, then why would they censor it in the digital version?

Hmmm for a slightly clearer pic see the oct WD, bottom of p. 46

The top left model looks like a small model which is levitating, it reminds me of the spore mines from the 4th ed starter set, although slightly larger, yet not large enough to be a model on a sky board or jump pack.

The model on the right does look rather Dark Eldary, it is very skinny, possibly bald by the looks of the head (or maybe a light-coloured helmet?), and has a 2 handed sword and a flayed-skin coloured skirt. My first thought was that it has quite a haemonculus aesthetic, but I suppose it would probably fit the bill for kherudak as well. The other thought I had was it also kind of looks like a possible model for the Emperors children primarch, so perhaps they are FW models.

As to the bottom left model I have no idea, it looks sort of brown in colour, though that might just be the red light, and it almost looks like it is mounted on a tripod rather than legs. It doesn't really look like anything from the dark Eldar codex, except perhaps something a Beastmaster might take with him.

On the other hand I'm wondering if they're not warriors of chaos models for fantasy (there is rumoured to be a wave release inbound next month), the sword wielding character could potentially be a sorcerer or Slaaneshi lord with the other two being familiars or something similar or the little brown job being some kind of nurgle model.

The yellow squares only add to the mystery, they also kind of say to me the picture was placed there deliberately. If we shouldn't see these models yet why not blank out the whole poster, and if it was only there as a mistake they wouldn't have blanked out anything because they presumably wouldn't have realised.
