I thought this may interest some of you guys - Battle Foam have released some custom cut trays, designed purely for Dark Eldar.
The 9 Venom tray is sure to attract a lot of attention I am sure.

| I'm planning on getting some Battle Foam when my army is finished. For my three raiders I built before I thought about storage though, I'm gonna have to get a custom tray. | |

| I know they are going to snatch away a healthy amount of my cash for the venoms for sure. Can't have all those pointy bits snapping off in transit... | |

| The trays are all great, but the prices seem to be extremely good too.
Very tempting. | |

| I think I'll take a good look. My bother has bought loads of this stuff for his BA, and they are really good. He bought the big wheeled carry case too.
I normally just use shoe boxes etc for transporting models - but raiders are a bit annoying to carry safely.

| As I don't plan on running a Venom Spam list, for me personally the 3 Venoms / 9 Reavers / 3 Taloi tray seems perfect. Battle Foam is awesome and I'm for sure buying a P.A.C.K. and Dark Eldar custom foam trays for my journey from Japan back to Germany. | |

| Slightly off topic but WallMart carries a plastic bin that carries two stacks of battle foam with a bit of room on the side for codex, dice, etc.
Ravager/Raider sheets are so tall I'd need to of the Pack 1400's to carry everything and that's before I get me some flyers!

| Thank you very much Battle Foam, these DE-specific trays are excellent and you are to be commended for such special dedication. It's very nice to see that it still exists. I am going to merge this with the existing thread, just to keep everything together for DE. There is also the GW/Other News & Rumour sub-forums for all things pertinent to Lesser Races. | |

| You got it. Thanks for putting it in the right place. Lol, "Lesser Races" could not agree more. Space Marines, who?

| I'm not really clued up on battle foam.
If I were to buy some trays - how do you carry them? I spotted a lot of different bags - but wasn't sure which these fitted. Also how many trays per bag?
I cant look in depth at your site as I am at work.
thanks | |

| Hi Shadow Hunter - Its actually really easy to shop our site. Trays are broken down by style and size. The ones your are looking at on here are our Battle Foam sized tray (15.5" x 12") We offer different sizes for different style sof bags we have for our partners.
What you need to do is simple look under the section called P.A.C.K. System Bags. These bags are designed to fit the footprint above. The size of the bags is listed in the description but even better are the videos. To see how the bags and foam work together just jump on our YouTube and watch some videos. You can link from our home page to get to them or under each style of bag.
If you still have question please let me know and I will help the best way I can.
Thanks

| My question or concern was how deep are they? Reason is can I model them with aetherial sail or the trophy spears sticking up or not at all? Just Curious. | |

| On each foam tray's page there is a mention of how thick it is. That is before you get to the 0.25" thick tray bottom.
So the Venom tray is 4 inches thick, and the raider tray is 6 inches thick. Should be able to store them as-is. And if you did something out of the ordinary, you could always take the stand off.

| I don't have my venoms yet, so I'm not sure how well they'll stay on the stands without gluing.
If my venoms are glued in the stands, will they still fit inside the battlefoam trays?
Thanks for any answers... the 9 venom tray looks very tempting..

Thanks for any answers... the 9 venom tray looks very tempting.. Thing 1: the venom stands very well on the ball joint. It is even positiinable for action shots! Thing 2: the venom with skull-impaled spear on the tallest clear flight base is 4.25 inches. If you put it on the smaller base it is 4.0 inches exactly (the height of the BF tray). So I'm guessing you can four or not.... will give my reactions when I get my 9 venom tray in a few days

| Hi guys,
We actually glued the Raiders to the bases and added full sales and trophy spears. All of these fit glued together in both trays. If you do not glue your sales on or bases you have options. Lets say you do not model your lower fins or glue your model to the base. That cuts down on your tray size because you can simply place your model on its belly. This would save about 2 full inches and make the tray 4" tall instead of 6". This is an option that you can select when ordering the foam if your looking to save space.
On the Venoms we did not glue the bases. This allowed us to glue the trophy spears on and tilt the venom back about a 1/4 in the foam to bring it below 4" tall. That is how we have the one pictured in the image above.
At the end of the day keep this in mind. We specialize around each persons army. Don't let the sizes or styles we show on the site be the end all to your storage. We can tailer each foam kit to fit everyones personal army. We have done this for years and welcome a good challenge.
Thanks guys | |

| Hi guys, Here is the latest release for Dark Eldar. We also plan a few more cool trays for July to protect the latest release for our nasty little elves. Enjoy and please check out the New Items section on the BF site. Combined to one thread for ease and streamlining - Baron Tordeck | |

| Any Idea how long before we will see the venom, talos, and razorwing appear in the custom foam editor? | |
