KR Multicases - What trays to use?

Gents.

I am on the market for a KR Multicase Backpack Two. Does anyone have any experience with KR? What trays can be used for what etc? Infantry etc is quite easy but as we get to venoms, bikes, ravagers, raiders and jetfighters I dont really know what fits where.

There's of course custom dark eldar trays but they seem to be wasting A LOT of space. 4 Ravagers/raiders in a full tray seems very excessive. Meaining the full backpack would hold only 8 ravagers/raiders in total, and nothing else.

Anyone have anything to share?

I have a KR that I won from a contest, the pluck foam tray (half the case) that they have holds 3 of my raiders pretty well. I'm happy enough with it to not have any real complaints, a buddy of mine got his box wet... and... well... cardboard...yea.

Overall i like them for their price.

Which pluck tray is that? The one that is "fully" customizeable or the one with some rows and whatnot. Ie, V tray or D tray.

I want to say it's the V1H or D1H tray (they look the same), but i'm not entirely sure.

Okok. How customizeable is it? From what i understand the D1H has rows in it where you can remove parts but its not fully customizeable as the V1H is.

I have no idea, the one i got was good ole fashion pluck foam. Small squares that i can pick out to the shape that i wanted. which ended up being 3 rectangles to fit my raiders and barely mo OOP ravagers (the wedge ones)

I feel like I've turned into a slight KR expert.

For Raiders and Ravagers you want to use the DE10 - the Reaper tray. This is the only tray that is custom cut for the new Raider chassis; this fits two in a tray and four in a KRU. It is only 3/4 deep so you can fit your entire army's infantry in a tray on top.

You might end up compromising on room as you can only get 8 Raiders in two KRUs but they are custom cut for the vehicle and you won't get any damage at all.

I'll add my thoughts: I build my models with few sticky-out bits: I'm into the game more than the modelling, so I consider foam packing when building models.
I get 1,500 into a single case as follows:
Half the box is a full height J format pick&pluck, with 3 rectangular spaces for Venoms(bases removed, sitting diagonally in both planes), and 3 squarish spaces for 2 Talos and all the Venom fly bases.
The other half is 2 quarter depth trays or M-format, for all my infantry, then the thin foam cover, then the remaining half depth has 2 Raiders & 2 Ravagers next to each other, with a tea towel to stop them shifting. This is only possible with rudders trimmed level with the keel, no sails etc.

ie, Cardboard full size case, 1 x J1H, 2 x M4H

I now have 4 full and one half card cases for my armies, I am a keen fan of KR. I personally don't like their bags, or any shoulder bags: I get one box plus books in a small rucsac, or my 80 litre rucsac holds one and a half or two boxes stacked vertically, and I can still cycle with it!
