My DE take the field for the 1st time

Super excited here, got a baby sitter for my son and I am getting all my DE together and going to have some fun. I haven't played 40k in years and I have spent the last 2 weeks or so painting my new friends. We will be playing a 1750 point game to get my feet wet and I plan to just try out different units and see what I like and don't like.

Go forth and kill things, just like a dark eldar should!

Also remember not to fight fair!

The game went well.. very well!!

I played against a vanilla space marine army and he spread him self thin the whole length of the table end. With all my troops in transports I just slammed his left flank and mopped up. I was worried about his predator but the wyches pulled out a can opener and cleaned that up. All in all I enjoyed the army. I am glad I made everything mobile as it seemed to be the game winner for me.

Biggest issues, I forgot about pain and combat drugs..

Congratulations! Sounds like a fun and rewarding game!

I've played two games with my Dark Eldar, and as someone who usually plays Chaos Space Marines and has a Chaos Daemons army, the mobility of the DE was just amazing. Even with a list that's nowhere near optimized, I win and have a great time, which is a lot more than I can say for the other armies.

I agree, the speed that my evil ones made it to their targets was amazing. This being the first time my friend played against a DE army he was amazed as well.

Not sure I could recall all the fine details. Game number 2 will get a battle report and that should be this weekend.

If ever in doubt, do it.
