First try, 1000p list

Hello everyone. I´m a old time 40k player that are thinking to join the dark eldar. This is my first try, what do you think about it?

HQ: Archaon with agonizer, shadow field, combat drugs, phantasm grenade launcher and soul trap = 155p

Elite: 5 Incubi with a Klaivex with onslaught and a raider with flicker field = 210p

Troops: 20 kabalite warriors with 2 splinter cannons, 1 blaster and a Sybarite with power weapon and blast pistol = 250p

Troops: 5 Kabalite warriors with 1 blaster, a Sybarite with blast pistol and a venom = 110p

Troops: 5 Kabalite warriors with 1 blaster, a Sybarite with blast pistol and a venom = 110p

Fast: 6 Reavers with 2 heat lance = 156p

Totalt: 991p

Thought is to get a base that I can later grow to at least 1500p ( at that point using 2 talos and another unit of reaver). But to start with, can this 1000p army work?

So, here are my thoughts.

- I would drop Klaivex. 5 incubis will kill most of the stuff in CC anyway.
- I dont like big blobs of 20, its not competitive, would rather have groups of 5 in skimmer, your choice.
- Drio Sybarite and blast pistol. Run 5x Warriors with blaster.
- remember Dual splinter cannon on venom

The main problem here is that you got 5 weapons to take down AT, and all have range from 6 to 9 inch. Not very good. Need more Dark light weapons

I would get some Ravagers, they are amazing

This is my 1000pt list i've had some success with, i love venoms so always have quite a few in my lists

obviously depends on what models you have but in my neck of the woods we let folk sub in other models so you can see how they play before you spend your hard earned cash.

Ebay can be very good for picking up bargains

Archon, huskblade, soul trap, shadowfield, phantasm grenade launcher.

4 x incubi in venom with dual cannons

5 warriors, blaster in venom with dual cannons

5 wyches haywires in venom with dual cannons

5 warriors shredder

2 x ravagers

1 x razorwing with splinter cannon and flickerfield

running the archon with huskblade and soul trap is alot of fun, seeing him instant kill monstrous creatures, other HQ's and then double his strength makes for intersting games.

Would this be a better armylist?

Troops: 5 Kabalite warriors with 1 blaster and a venom = 85p

Fast: 6 Reavers with 2 heat lance = 156p

Heavy: Ravager = 105p

Total: 996p

make the 20 a 10, and put em in a raider, with a splinter cannon.
