1000p-list

Hello dark citizens.
I have played some fantasy before with my Warriors of Chaos army but got bored with the theme overall in the fantasy version.
Found Dark Eldar, love the lore, love the design.

So I got my dirty hands on a codex and tried to make an armylist.
Problem is, I've never been quite good at it and now DE is completely different to fantasy Chaos I am a bit confused.

I'll post how far I've done and hope that you can point me to the right direction.

Yes its supposed to be a 1000 list, problem is that I don't really know what else I want. Currently I'm balling between just mashing in either a lot of wyches or a lot of warriors.

The succubus is a very good cheap HQ, i never normally run bloodbrides, but i think you should give them haywire grenades.

I would definitely take a second ravager, but dont bother with the aethersails they have 12" movement and 36" inch range you never want them right in the enemy's face they should be sat back shooting from a far from the enemy as possible, just make sure you move them even if its only half an inch each turn to get the jink save.

personally i think you would be better dropping the special characters in you large squads, split them into groups of 5.
Give the wyches haywires and venoms, also give each squad of 5 warriors a venom.
Always take the second cannon on the venoms the amount of fire they can put out is insane

I'll split the big groups up and hand them a Venom each and throw in a second ravager.

Now I realized how much this army will cost, and it will take a while for me to acquire all the miniatures for this.
I'll update the 1000 list and throw in a 500 point list under it when I'm able to.

Also if you are planning on taking reavers in a squad size of 3 there is no point taking the arena champion as the unit isnt really strong enough to survive in combat - 6+ squad size then it might be worth it, you can then use the points elsewhere - also if you switch the warrior squads into 2 5 man squards i would not bother with the sybarite as again 5 warriors while are good in a venom they are not made for combat and as such the points will be wasted.

Updated the list and it looks better right now.

Removed the Arena Champion from the reavers and the aethersails from the Ravager
Kept the bigger squad of warriors, it fits better with the points this list is aiming for (and it's slightly cheaper money wise too, being poor is suffering)

500p-list will come up tonight I think.

After that I just need a somewhat decent name for the kabal.
