So I've heard a lot of people referring to the reheating of resin as a way of straightening out bent failcast however I've never heard how they do it. I just got a new farseer and I can't reallly ask for a replacement as I didn't buy it off GW but both of his swords are bent at stupid angles and he's missing half his helmet so I just wanted to ask what people used for the reheating of finecast models. Obviously you wouldn't use a match, that would just melt stuff but maybe the microwave? Really I have no idea so thanks for any help.

You should most certainly try at GW first. It might be a present you got and thus have no receipt. It's their product so the shoud fix it.

That said, a hair dryer on low temp and speed is what I use on resin to fix warped parts

Firstly, you should definitely try GW. They are the manufacturer and regardles of where you bought the product from they should still replace it for you.

On the topic of the resin though, I've not tried it but apparently hot water is good. Dunk the figure in the hot water for a while then straighten the bent piece and quickly dunk it in cold water. Give that a go.

I use a hair dryer to heat the resin, bend it into place, and finally dip the corrected part into cold water to help it set. I've had to do this to almost all of my FW Corsair jetpack wings Evil or Very Mad
This video is rather helpful:

I've always used the hot water/cold water, but the hair dryer seems like a valid idea too.

I have an electric stove I turn the burner on high, let it get red hot and turn the piece over the burn till it get soft, straighten, then dip in cold water.
