Ravager load-out

Hi guys, I'm sorry if this has been covered before. I know there is a good thread on lances verses dissies but this is a more specific question. In a list where I have 3 Ravagers and I've decided I have too many lances over all. Which of the following load-outs is better?

2 x Ravager w/3 DL
1 x Ravager w/3 Dissies

or

3 x Ravager w/2 DL, 1 Dissie

Both load-outs give the same amount of each weapon to the army it's mainly a question of flexibility vs specialisation. Obviously if I lose my Dissie Ravager I lose all that AI potential but then again 2 DL shots aren't really that reliable at killing tough vehicles. Thoughts?

I'm not sure if this applies to your list but I like to have dissies on all my raiders and 3DLs on all my ravagers. 3 dissie ravagers are nasty though and they draw a lot of fire.

Ah okay thanks. This is my current list at 1,000pts and I find I'm just wasting DL shots on infantry from turn 2 or 3 onwards.

Haemonculi w/LFG, VB - 65pts

5 Wracks w/LFG, Raider - 120pts

5 Warriors w/B, Venom w/2xSC - 125pts
5 Warriors w/B, Venom w/2xSC - 125pts

9 Reavers w/3 x HL, Champion w/VB - 249pts

Ravager w/3xDL - 105pts
Ravager w/3xDL - 105pts
Ravager w/3xDL - 105pts

= 999pts

So it's very shooty with 15 lances which is why I feel I could lose 3 for Dissies to have some more anti MEQ or TEQ and still be able to shoot up tanks pretty well.

<Edit> Forgot to mention that I don't actually have a 3rd Venom if you're wondering why the Haemon and Wracks are in a Raider.

Obviously if you don't need all your Dark Lances then change your list to fit your environment. Advice on the internet can only be generic advice since we can't know your situation. There is nothing wrong with going 2x Dark Lance Ravagers and 1x Dissie Ravager (I prefer having all of one type rather then mixing as it lets you concentrate each on exactly its best target) if you don't have enough worthwhile targets for your DLs, especially at 1000 points.

if you feel that way then your enviroment and especially at 1000 points probably does not need that much dark light, change 1 ravager to dissie, still has potential AT although low AV only, and super AI.

Thanks guys, that's what I've been thinking. I've magnetised the lances now so I can do some experimental games with a dedicated Dissie Ravager. I also like the tactical advantage of it being such a threat it can be used to manipulate the enemy or lure them out etc.
