| Hello all, My local GW is running Conflict in January (1000 points), and I've entered to give it a go! I've never entered a tournament before, however, so I'm not sure what works well in that setting. I've taken a rough attempt at a list, but would love a bit of C&C for it! I haven't had a chance to test it yet as I only got some of it yesterday, but I'll be getting a few practice matches in before the tournament:
1 haemonculus | 50 5 wracks, venom, SC, NS | 125 10 warriors, SC, raider, NS, SR | 180 10 warriors, SC, raider, NS, SR | 180 3 reavers, HL | 78 1 ravager, NS | 115 1 ravager, NS | 115 1 razorwing, DC, FF | 155 --- 998
Rough plan is to park the wracks hiding on an objective, and use the warrior gunboats as a mobile firebase. The ravagers will hang back and put holes in boxes, razorwing flies in to drop pie-plates on nasty units. I think the reavers could steal the haemi's pain token and provide general harassment.
This list is different to what I usually run (the coven units and razorwing are new), but I think they will be more effective than the wyches I usually run. Alternative units I have the models to field are 20 wyches, 2 raiders, archon, 5 incubi, and another 3 reavers. Would these choices work better?

| A lot of tourney lists seems to be very infantry heavy in 6e. It seems in general the usual Dark Lance x 6 (or 9) on ravagers seems a bit of a waste. Have you considered the disentigrator cannons instead? Thinking of those pesky terminators. | |

| I would argue that for tourneys you need proper AT. I think the ravagers with DL is not out of place.
I also theorize that mech will not be totally dead and might even get a possible revival, you never know and in a tournament you must be able to handle it!
The bikes could be situational but yet with a PT they are a "bit" more durable. Maybe give them some more range with Blaster instead of HL since they are for harassment.
The two "gunboats" if you would make those two raiders into 4 venoms/wracks with some points from elsewhere you have 24 36" movable 12 inch every round, 8 HP, 4 scoring units with your heamie. Just a thought.

| Hi Hess, thanks for weighing in on this one, but I am pretty set on the DL ravagers as they're my only AT in this list. I'm actually a little concerned that I don't have enough lances, but hopefully there won't be too many boxes in a 1000 point tournament. As for the reavers, I would agree that they are a somewhat risky selection, but I find I get at least some use out of them every game. If nothing else, I use them to contest objectives at end of game. I may consider using the blaster though. I know venomspam is a very popular and competitive build, but I don't have the wracks or venoms to field that list, so it's not an option for me. Thanks for the suggestiong though. | |

| I personally consider 10 dark lances to be overkill in a 1000pt list, even in competetive play. 7 + the 3 disentigrator cannons lets you easily handle MC too as well as terminator spam.
What plans do you have for the haemonculus considering the pain token?

| It's actually only 8 dark lances, and realistically, the lances on the raiders can't be relied upon as they may not be in good positions for tank-hunting. Also, given how easy it is to take down a ravager, a little redundancy is not unwise.
I was thinking that the haemi could donate his pain token to another unit, then hang back with the wracks and stay out of trouble. I also considered a hexrifle for him to give him something to do but I'm not sure it's effective.

| 2 raiders = 2 DL 2 ravagers = 6 DL 1 Ravenwing = 2 DL
Then again if you don't consider the raider DLs reliable that's a fair point.

| Ah, my intention is to run the jetfighter with disintegrator cannons rather than lances, as they suit the anti-infantry usage better. | |

| Ahh, right'o. Then I take back my suggestion of having a ravager with disentigrator cannons as you should be fine with the ones on the fighter.
Good luck with the tourney!
