So I was looking at the Wraithseer a bit and man am I convinced. He gives 4+(!) FNP to wraithguard and lords. Not to mention him and his lords have S 10 and T 8. decent stats all around, and insane defense. Now I know im a little late on the boat for the wraithstar but I havent seen an ally list with a full wraithseer, wraithguard, and lord used as allies so i wondered....what it gives us is very impressive, Very high toughness, something that will soak up a truly massive amount of shots. Not to mention their guns are something you shouldnt ignore. What sucks though, is that you need a 2nd HQ if you take the seer, so you have to do double force orgs. Still do-able though I think...

178=HQ- farseer with rowa, row, spear, stones, doom, guide, fortune (rolling with the 10 man)
215=HQ-Wraithseer w/D cannon
110=H-wraithlord w/sword,surri cannon
350=T- 10x wraithguards
120=T-5x pathfinders

973=total (steep for allies I know, perhaps they could be the main force in fact and fill in another 10 man of guards)

For the DE part I was thinking mainly venom spam and an archon w/ a shadowfield. Also maybe a talos to roll with the other monsterous creatures, bringing a liquifier and S cannon. Im thinking this would be a 2000 point list btw.

The venoms could run around supporting the giant brick of wraiths moving slowly but steadily toward their objectives. Venoms are there basically to prevent a flank. Pathfinders of course could stay back with our objective.

negatives that i can see are:
high points, slow, short range on the 10x wraithguards.

But filling in with our stuff you can still get a lot of poison/lance and mobility with 1030 points.

Crazy? doable? thoughts?

I curious though if your opponent would interpret double force organization chart to mean that you can take 2 allied detachments at 2,000 (which would screw you out of being able to take the Wraithseer). I don't believe that you double the allied chart, but rather get to take two allied detachments at 2,000pts. In this case the Wraithseer would not be available as it doesn't fulfill the compulsory HQ slot. It would be awesome if ti did though Twisted Evil

The unit would be a pretty awesome Deathstar though, if a bit heavy on points(you would need to add a Warlock with the Spiritseer ability to make the unit of Wraithguard count as Troops) It would be an awesome unit in an Apoc game using the Spirithost formation in IA11.

Not to mention how dead-sexy the Wraithseer model is Twisted Evil

Ahh yeah I thought that the double would work as a compulsory for the seer but It might not work for tournys and all that depending on how they view it. I see what you mean about the wording. Also forgot about the warlock being necessary for them becoming troops, doh! more points.

I am going to run it though and see how it works out. I love the idea of lots of monstrous creatures haha, Eldar Zilla?

Why not take the above list with CWE as the primary formation, drop a Talos to make room for the second DE HQ? Solves your Wraithseer problem while giving you the points for another meaty DE HQ/other stuff? It still is a very all-or-nothing deathstar army, but sure would look cool as hell while being pretty fun to play. Come to think of it, this might be the excuse that I need to buy one of those shiny Wraithseers Twisted Evil
[EDIT] DOH! Forgot that you would need more CWE troops. You could drop a couple of Warrior units and add a couple of more Ranger units?

double force org works like this:

From 1pt-1999pts, you have:
One Primary Force Org
One Allied Force Org
One Fortification slot

2k+ you have:
2 Primary Force Orgs
2 Allied Force Org
2 Fortification slots

The problem comes is that to take a Wraithseer, you must have a second HQ. Each Allied Force Org is a brand new part of the army, so no, you can not take a Wraithseer as an allied HQ, as his requirement of having a second HQ is not fullfilled.

That being said I do like your idea, just make CWE the primary and I think you are set Razz
