| Hello everyone,
I am entering my first tournament ever in my 40k (or any table top game) career. I am looking for some guidance on a list! I am not really sure what to expect in terms of meta. I heard there are a lot of marine players but I'm sure there will be chaos, IG etc. Anyways, I came up with a couple lists I'm going to test, here are my thoughts.
1. A list with a cheap Farseer with runes of warding, and 3 bikes. Comes to 161 pts (With Doom) - Pretty much for the psychic defence, bikes for mobile units to capture objectives.
- Only concern is I am not sure if the psychic defence is required in such a low point game.
2. Trying to fit 1-2 Voidravens to catch some people off guard.
- My concern with this is the 310 points (Both with Flickerfield) is a big point sink. - Being tabled turn 1 / not having enough AT during my turn 1. - And there is also my fear of failing my reserve rolls.
Here is what I was able to come up with.
HQ - 50 Haemonculus
Troops - 375 Kabalite Warriors, Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon (on venom) Kabalite Warriors, Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon (on venom) Kabalite Warriors, Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon (on venom)
Heavy Support - 210 Ravager Ravager
Total - 635
Can't decide if another venom with no blaster, or another ravager.
Anyways, any criticism helps!
Thanks | |

| You have nowhere for the HQ to go and give up slay the warlord too easy.
Personally, I would drop 1 Ravager, which gives you 220 to play with.
9 wyches, haywires, hekatrix, venom blade, raider with night shields is 193. The remaining points go on night shields on the Ravager, then a liquifier and venom blade on the haemy.
This gives you a 4th scoring unit, which can dig units out of cover and take the fight to the enemy

| Great tip. I was initially going to stick him back field and hide the entire game.
I have 2-3 lists I am testing out later today with a buddy, and I will try that out!

| Was able to beat Blood Angels today with the list.
HQ Haemonculus - Liquifier, Venom Blade
Troop Warriors - Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon Warriors - Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon Warriors - Blaster, Venom, Splinter Cannon Wyches - Hekatrix, Venom Blade, Haywire Grenades, Raider, Night Shield
Heavy Ravager - Night Shield
Space Marine Librarian - Blood Lance, Wings of Sanguinius
Troop 4 Death Company - Rhino 8 Scouts 5 Tactical Marines - Heavy Bolter
Elite Fuerioso Dreadnaught (Spelling)
Heavy Support Predator 5 Devastators - 2 Rockets (2 of something else)
Anyways, he had first turn but I was able to keep all 5 starting units out of sight/range. Was fortunate and made 4-5 Flickerfield saves on turn 2. Which may of actually won me the game.
Wyches did wonders, and were able to take out the death company and the Dreadnaught with its haywire!

| Fairly sure that BA list is illegal. Tactical marines need 10 models for a heavy weapon from memory | |

| looks decent. The only thing I would change is drop the wyches for wracks, they are better in small groups like that, while wyches do better in groups of 10 | |

| be careful though, wracks dont have assault grenades, so if you have to assault something in cover, flame it first to soften them up. the good thing is with the haemie they get furious charge, so they get re-rolls to wound against MEQ | |
