| Reavers do not take pinning tests as they are not eligible to go to ground. - pg 45 main rule book
Assuming the whirl wind is firing indirectly, no, you would not get cover saves as you determine the attack angle from the centre of the blast

It can fire two tipes of missiles one has higher strength. PaulT specifically mentioned the one that does not ignore cover. - PaulT wrote:

| AFAIK, you would still get your Jink save though if you had moved, as Jink doesnt rely on intervening cover but on speed and maneuverability. | |

Agreed, barrage weapons don't ignore area terrain or jink saves.

| Flicker fields are an invulnerable save and thus you may always take it.
Barrage weapons work out cover saves based on where the centre of the blast is, so being behind cover is no help. You would still get jink against the standard missiles

| Hits of a barrage weapon are always considered to originate from the center of the blast marker, so cover saves can only be taken, if the cover is between the model in question and said center, the model is in area terrain or has a cover save that doesn't rely on actual terrain, like jink or stealth.
Flicker fields are no cover, but invulnerable saves, so aren't negated.
