Awesome work on the Talos and Klaivex.

I think the Klaivex needs some skulls or something to spruce him up.

I do agree though, i think the Reaver helm is a winner...might decapitate my "Dracon" to serve for the time being.

Dunno, might have a play with alternate legs and see if I can make something I'm happier with.

Ooh, the Talos is great! You know, before I read your bit about him being supposed to look 'casual', I actually thought to myself "haha, that thing looks kind of curious about the happenings on the battlefield; looking at all the tiny things running away from it".
And all of that just because of the slight angle adjustment of head and tail. Amazing!

talos looks good. like the way you've gone all out on the tentacley-army-taily bits. just makes it look that bit more monstrous.
did you have to green-stuff the head ball joint to get the angle?

Thanks! The Talos is certainly going to be a centre point...can't wait to paint it The head does have a little bit of greenstuff rider, but just to make it seamless, it actually sits quite well. The green you can see in the second pic is actually just paint. I wanted to see just how much of the "neck" can be seen through the holes in the helm. The answer is none lol

For the Klaviex though, once something gets stuck in my mind as being wrong, I have to try and change it...so Klaviex take 2!





The Reaver helms do look a lot cooler, so the regular head is just a placeholder at the moment. The blank helm will make it more "Emotionless Killer" than "Crazy Yelling Guy" I think...thoughts?

I like the second pose of the Klaivex. I personally like the unhelmeted head for him. Although the dome heads are v cool too...

I'm loving your models, your Incubi are amazing, and the gun on your Archon's left arm looks really mean looking somehow. I also love the fact that you've put the effort into their backstory, I love it when people use creativity in their lists. Can't wait to see how your Cronos come out.

I found a really interesting pattern on a battery of all things...I think I might try to replicate it on the Talos carpace or maybe a Raider side...what do ya think?

Opened my Venom box, and not only is there a blank-faced helm there, but a double headed weighted-flail....I'm going to have to rebuild my Archon!!

yup, that tribal style pattern look is perfect for the dark eldar.

i very much like the second pose for your klaivex but i also think the blank face mask is more in keeping with the style you have established for the rest of the squad.

i really like the official incubi, but i hate the horned creature heads. with them now in finecast i think i may take a leaf out you book and use blank heads with some careful reposing for a little more dynamicism.

I'll have to post up a pic of the Klaviex with his new head, gotta wait till he has some paint on him though, black undercoat doesn't photograph too well

Completed my second Warrior squad, and nearly finished my Incubi Venom to break it up. I think I'll be focusing on the Incubi themselves and the Talos this week

Tried my hand at more extensive freehand...opinions?

Venom is also rocking underslung cannons nicked from whatisntart I love the look, more jetfighter than...well...whatever a stock Venom reminds me of

Xel: The green is a combo of Scorpion Green and Bad Moon Yellow...not sure what I'm doing but I love how bright it comes out, makes for a great contrast to the darker reds. Maybe I just have a freakish pot of green

Maybe Saint, I could see a more gribbly Talos being made from a Carnifex...the biggest fluff hurdle I have is why a Coven warmachine is doing in the middle of a Kabalite/Wych Cult alliance without even a Haemonculi to keep him company
