Dark Eldar - Bloody Hand Kabal - More WIPy goodness

Which one mate?

The first is using the standard Splinter Cannon mounts that is meant to go center line, just placed under the wings.

The second is just the Talos weapon pod Splinter Cannons, glued to the sides (I plan on greenstuffing up the gap )

My third Venom will either use side pods again, or maybe something else I can figure out

Just some WIP for you... I've run out of spray paint so now I'm building

More WIP, starting with my test of Army Painter's Dragon Red spray. I though this might save me some time but its not quite dark enough, even when sprayed on a black under coat with a wash. It does serve as a good red base coat though, which should speed things up a bit!

I can just imagine the Succubus complaining to the Archon as to how he expects her girls to travel to battle in a different shade of red Raider

Thanks for looking! Hope to have more progress after the weekend. I have my tax back, so off to Sydney to get some display cabinets yay!

Wow I really like the archon, the sybarite with his gun standing up, and the klaivex models. I don't know if anyone else said this but the white had painted on the chest of the warriors remind me of the uruk-hai in Lord of The Rings.

A bit late to this, but the above wing splinter cannons from the Talos are super sweet. Great army project and keep the photos coming!

Just recently used the website http://www.hoardobits.com/ as recommended by gobsmacked...first lot of bits arrived just on 2 weeks which is pretty good.

Nice selection of parts too, expect to see some Trueborn coming

Man, raiders are fun to paint, but suck to put together. Still, a bit more WIP on it

Two new display cabinets yay! One side will be for my Cult/Merc units, the other for Kabal units

Is there a thought other than the cool looks, when using wych-legs for the trueborn?

I wanted to have a more 'unique' squad of Trueborn, and I had lots of options with the Venom/Raider crew

Been very inactive of late, but I had some time off work and made some more progress on my Incubi

That is a serious collection of Eldar my friend, much kudos! Out if interest ow long did it take you to get that much? I have about three Detolf shelve's worth myself

Your DE are coming along very nicely indeed. A good idea to paint the raider like that. The debris on the bases are a nice touch too.

The CWE were a long labour of love, probably about 5 years worth of collecting I'd say? I'd post pics but the standard is much better from 5 feet away

And the Detolf's are a brilliant cabinet. Can't argue for $99AUD

Tempted to go with white shoulder pads for the Incuibi, but worried it might be too much white...will do a test run on Sunday and see

I think white insignia would look better than complete pads. Keep up the good work.

I'm really liking those incubi.

The red and white pattern is interesting. I like it, but I think I would like it more if it had more edge to it, like thorns or barbed wire.

But that might now look good with the rest of your army look, so I don't know.

Also, got a Razorwing from the missus for my birthday, so I've had some fun with that...still WIP so far




Trying to replicate a trick I used on my Eldar tanks, using two different spray cans to try and get a transition from red to black, just so it stands out. I'm enjoying the kit so far, its a very cool aircraft when you have it in your hands
