| Love the project so far, really inspires some alternatives to the typical dark schemes. | |

| Beautiful work! I love the desert theme - but I absolutely must know the process you used on your helms. I'm going for white helms myself and just the idea of attempting them is driving me mental. I thought maybe Skull White, Gryphonne Sepia, then a Skull White highlight. Am I close? Od. | |

| Thanks for the comments.
The recipe for the helmet. Umm, well I am a bit of a paint snob and I use what I like rather than what is recommended.
The helmet base is an I kore paint called meridian Sand. it looks like a mix of Bubonic Brown and white. You could used bleached bone since I only use it as an undercoat.
I wash with Orgyn Flesh.
Next I use P3 Bone jack and Moldy Ochre to give a yellowed bone look
Highlightt with bleached bone and then GW skull white.
The extreme shades are done with I kore "earth' which is a great reddish brown color. You could mix it with GW Scorched Earth and Dark Flesh.
I lot of what I do on the helmets is wet blended so some of the colors are mixed right on the helmet. I'm lazy and I like to get all my colors done at one time.
Anyhoo, the short of it is the helmets can be done with a bone color, some pale yellow color, a dark reddish brown and white. | |

| Howdy. Thanks to everyone for viewing and commenting on this little project of mine. I am really enjoying painting up these models and it keeps me motivated to keep going and add to it, and build and add to it and build and so on. If I am lucky I will be able to stop at 4000 points. Anyhoo my progress so far is assembling and working on a couple units of scourges and more work on my vehicles. I took my airbrush ( a sotar 20/20) and added a final highlight color, a very bright pale yellow to all my vehicles, or at least the assembled ones. I took the sails and got those primed in white ready for paint this weekend, here is what I have on my table currently showing some of the progress. I am quite pleased with the final highlight on the ravagers. Sorry, I did'nt get any pics of the venoms, but it really gives it some standout color on the edges and emphaiszes the overall brightness and warmth of the army. As always, C&C welcome! | |

| That does look really cool, very smooth fade effect. The gunners etc are still separate from the ravagers? The scourges are looking good too, can't wait to see those finished | |

| They are a magnetic nightmare. The sails are magnetized, the masts, the crew, the guns. I spent a fortune on Rare Earth magnets and by golly I am going to use them. Huzzah! | |

| Howdy. Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been busy busy. My progress report for my Black Halo is good though for the last couple of weeks. I have converted and begun painting a Haemonculi. More work on all the vehicles and crewmen and I have figured out how I want my gunners to look. I intend to use skull mask helmets to give them a distinctive look. I finished my unit of bloodbrides, which look a lot like my wyches but were used in a GT I entered in this past weekend. My Scourges are complete minus bases. I added a 4th member to each of my 2 trueborn units and I have 4 full 5 man squads of Warriors complete minus bases. All in all a very productive 2 weeks and I am going to take some pictures soon and post for you review, I just want you not to worry that I have not dropped off. here are a couple of images taken of my army at the convention, their not the best but it is a whole army kind of view. You can see how the army as a whole is shaping up. I am very please with the progress so far, but there is more to do. Oh and I forgot to mention, I took first place in single sci-fi Mini and got a new Talos box for my 1st prize! Whoo hoo, top place and a cool toy to boot. YAY!! | |

| its funny, I never really considered jabba's fleet in my initial planning, but a lot of people have told me they look great and jabba would be proud. That and I need a tusken raider riding a raider with his pointy stick. | |

| Wow, the wings are fantastic alone but the Scourges are awesome! White helms are a great contrast and the gems are beautiful. | |

| Howdy. I have to say I hate the current Haemonculli model. its looks like... I can't even begin to describe what I think it looks like. I get images of Mario from Nintendo fame and a mad Chef from the muppet show. Still I need one, or two, so I bought one and went about to making it look better. I submit to you my haemi conversion and still paint in progress. The lower arms need to be added on so they are not left out, just being done in sub assemblies. | |

| Stock model look like Madonna in 2030 * I wonder if You could get some Talos leftovers (like "tiny" arms), those would make this model interesting actually. It could even look as awesome as Codex artwork. * Apology to all Madonna fans. | |
