New Dark Eldar player, and 40K in general (though I used to play Mordheim years ago, and Fantasy before that).

Been lurking in The Dark City for a week or so and figured it was time to join my fellows.

Technically, I haven't actually played yet. My first game is tomorrow (today) - 500pt against my friend's necrons.

Best of luck on your first game. Do remember that the learning curve with this army can be a bit steep, but it is an absolute blast to play once you get the mechanics down. I've played them since third edition and still managed to not get a win with them for the first 10 games(quite a few tied games) with the new codex.

The challenge is part of the reason I chose DE (as well as the sexy fluff). I find winning through cunning and intelligent tactics is always more rewarding than using brute force to ROFLstomp the opponent.
