1000pts list for doubles

So in a month I have a doubles tournament
coming up. 1000pts each, armies abide by
allies chart and no same to forces (except
Nids).

First off my partners list looks like this;
Csm;
Lord in terminator armour
20 cultists
2 mauler fiends
3 helldrakes (2 flamers)

My first idea was to field;
Haemy
2 x3 wracks
Big beast unit
2 razor wings
Void raven
Coms relay def line.

However as fun as 6 flyers would be
I think this is a better list;

So the gyst is we out shoot/manoeuvre our foe
14 splinter cannons, 9 lances, 2 liquifers and
Haywires in my 1k. Not a lot of scoring troops
But if people shoot at his cultists and leave me
Alone their nuts..
What do you guys think?

if your playing true ally rules, your com relay shouldnt help them (if I remember right)

I like your second list better. More lances, more shooting. You might want to think about more dark lances in the form of either raiders or lance/blasterborn, for the simple fact he should of AI covered with 3 baleflamer helldrakes, but dont completely get rid of your splinterfire, your need some for that T1
