New DE player list suggestions

The 'list' below is based on a slew of birthday/Xmas presents, so I am looking for some suggestions as to where to go with the list.

HQ - Archon soul catcher, huskblade.

Troops - 2x 10 Kabalite (only 10 built with DL, blaster and Sybarite with Blast pistol/agoniser). Next 10 kitted out with blaster, splinter canon

Fast attack - 1x 5 Scourges heat lance and Haywire blaster, and Solarite with blast pistol and agoniser

Dedicated transport - 1x Venom with 2x splinter canons

Fast Attack? 1x 5 Mandrakes

I'll be adding and enhancements such as shadowfields, ghost plate armour, etc where needed.

Looking at the list there's only the HQ that's good at CC, and with a core of 20 Kabalites the list is shooty.SO my intital thoughs are to put the Archon in the Vemon with some hard hitting CC troops, get two Raiders for the Kalabites and some Reavers. Any alternatives or suggestions?

Welcome to the dark side. You currently don't have enough support nor anti-tank. I'd sell/trade the Mandrakes for some more Warriors or Wracks. Get at least another Venom & some Ravagers as they are staple to the army.

Yep, the more I look at the Mandrakes the more I think... what's the point! I can see your point about the Ravagers 3xDL, just done a quick dice test, two hits and a glancing hit = 1 hull pint

I can also see that with the stat of the DL you'll need to field more than one cos it's become a dakka magnet Unless there's an opportunity to take advantage of the night rules or depending how far/fast the AV moved which may effect which weapons it can fire and whether they'd only be snap firing, I guess.
