Haywire
Venom with extra cannon

Bloodbridex9
Syren with Agoniser
Three Hydra Gauntlets
Raider with Flickerfield
Archon
Husk blade, shadowfield, drugs, soul trap

Two Bombers with Flickerfields

If I get time, I'm going to try and turn the bombers into fighters.


The Hq is pricey, but not sure how to resolve that, 5 incubi wouldnt save much.over 9 tooled up BB.
If possible, sit at 36" and annihilate the enemy with splinter fire and wait for my aircover to arrive, before moving in.
If the enemy has a lot of long range fire under armour, Lemans, Basilisks ect, then I have little choice but to boost in and hope for the best, I can start popping them T2 assuming something survives, with night fighting, I might be able to hide until my bombers turn up Smile

Objectives should be reasonable, I only need to grab them at the end and fragile as wyches are, I bet I can infantry quicker than most

If the HQ is too pricey i recommend making it super fluffy and taking a Succubus instead ^.^

I like the idea of an archon surrounding himself with wyches, on the grounds that "who wouldnt?"

I suppose I would have never have had a problem with a Space Marine Captain leading an assault squad

Played nids, normal deploment, kill points.
He had a shooty fex, a shooty tunneler, a shooty tyrant with tyrant guards, shooty warriors, three units of running claws and a cover save generator. Oh and psykers.

I figured it would be a bit of a walk over so, played accordingly.

Drugs were hypex, that should have told me all I needed to know......

I deployed first, HQ, Blasters, Wyches left to right. he deployed zoanthropes, running claws, big stuff, again, my left to my right.

He failed to seize, so I went first.

Moved everything over to my left at 12", and rather than killing his tyrant and effectivly ending the game, I blastered the thropes to no effect, and splintered his bullet catching gaunts.
The thropes invulned everything and the gaunts lost 7 or 8, but were fearless.

He advanced and began to push me into my left corner, as I wanted.
And then he started shooting.
His Fex blew my rightmost venom, the warriors finised off the survivors, and the thropes blew the raider, and I was in trouble.

Looking at what I had left, and where, I figured it was time to break out the spice weasel and kick it up a notch.
I got a flier in from reserve and decided the threat now was the thropes, everything else was too far away to be an immediate threat. And so two lances, 6 splinter cannons, 3 blasters, a splinter rifle, and ten splinter pistols opened up on the thropes, and save followed save followed save, finally one thrope with one wound stood standing, so my archon charged it and caused 5 instant deaths, consolidating back into cover.

His deep striker arrived, and opened fire on a venom, weapon destroyed, then charged it and blew it up.
Some surviving gaunts charged my hq and got battered, but werent wiped out, so I was trapped.

I got my second flier, wiped out most of his surviving gaunts with missiles
My remaining two venoms, blaster and wych, moved in to his deployment zone to get a clear shot at his tyrant and guards, the tyrant eventually fell to the splinter pistols of the wyches.

His tuneler cherged my HQ and HoWed the archon to death, his shadow field had failed earlier and S6 is ID to T3.
His fex brought down a flier, 12 twin linked S6 shots is murder to A10, even on a flier.

At this point we called it so I could get an early train. I probably could have pulled it back if I got really lucky, but I was basicaly going for a tabling at that point.

So, lessons learned, dont underestimate nids!

Did it have some rule to allow charge after deep strike? Or was is on other turn?
