Hi All,

I'm interested in starting a new army and have been playing with ideas that generally vary slightly from what I have laid out below. At this stage I have 24 points to spend, and was hoping someone with army experience could let me know whether I'm on the right track.
I have thought about trueborn with various loadouts or a few incubi to travel with the Duke, with the points to allow this usually meaning the raider & warriors get dropped.

I had a similar idea to this with running triple air. My thought is, voidravens excel at killing enemy mech, while none of the missiles are particularly effective at it. Razorwings, on the other hand, have several things at their disposal to deal with infantry or mech. They're a bit more versatile, but not quite as good at killing tanks as voidravens. Missiles are also significantly cheaper on Razorwings.

Bearing all that in mind, I'd drop the missiles on the voidraven, and swap the other razorwing's dark lances out for disintegrators. Also upgrade it's rifle to a splinter cannon. This keeps your voidraven specced for taking out mech, and gives your ravenwing a little more punch targetting infanty, since all their weapons have to target the same unit.

The 4 haywire scourges, along with your haywire wyches should help in the event you run up against a heavy mech squad.

As an aside, I do like the idea of running 3x air. Most armies will only have 1 anti-air option at most, so if you have multiple air units hit the board at the same time, you can target their AA, adding to the survivability of the subsequent air units. I also like the haywire scourges, but it's important that you keep them as safe as possible. Expensive units.

Overall, I'd say it's a decent list, but you're probably underutilizing sliscus' abilities. Putting so much into air, you don't have a lot of units to use his deep strike, or combat drugs. Only really getting the poison upgrade on one unit of Kabalite warriors. You could get an archon with a shadow field and venom blade for 55 points less. So you're basically paying 55 points to upgrade those kabalite warriors.

Thanks for the input!

I'm a big fan of airborne units in general, so this army is a mix of the style I like to play, imagery, and some nice looking models. So as long as its ok on the field I'm not super fussed (not really a tournament player).

Was considering Voidraven missiles as a backup, but at those prices its hard to justify. I have made a number of changes, dropping the raider and trimming points for 2 venoms which should help offset having one of each light-AT & anti-infantry spec'd razorwings.
They won't match the damage of 3x ravagers, but should stick around a bit longer once they arrive.

I toyed with losing the Duke, but getting an archon with a field and some ranged upgrade ran him over 100pts, so figured ultimately that it may pay off for the flexibility in deepstriking venoms when the situation arises.

i do believe you need 10 warriors to take the dark lance in your OP.

Not to be harsh, but its a horrible list if you want to play competitive, if you want to play fun/friendly then its ofc just to go ahead Smile
