| One of the advantages of being a tabletop player since 1998 is a large collection of miniatures. Ten years ago I was playing Devourer of Vile-Tis in the skirmish game Confrontation. The game and the producing company are long gone. After re-reading the Codex Dark Eldar I was thinking about using them as alien mercenaries. GW only produces one (boring and expensive) model for the Clawed Fiends and I think the Devourers match the stats very well. What do you think (khymera and normal wych are shown for style and size comparison)? | |

| These are awesome models, and yes, a great alternative to the Clawed Fiend. I certainly wouldn't mind playing against them. I think there is great potential for us with alien mercenaries. | |

| I wouldn't mind playing against this and frankly it only makes a difference in that your opponent now gets a better line of sight to the model, since you have no shooting you don't get a benefit from the larger size, and it is harder for you to get a cover save as the model requires more to obscure it. All in all it is not an advantage to you. Honestly I loved Confrontation and miss it dearly so seeing the models again would be great. I still have my wolfen and may do the same. Red | |

| I would definitely play against you, and I don't even care what do you use those awesome models as - Clawed Fiends or Grotesques, they can honestly be both. | |

| Thanks for your feedback. Now it's time to build to build some beastmasters. I have two ideas: a) stay with a wolven theme and put some wyches on riding wolves from the LotR/ Hobbit range or b) staying with a mercenary theme and use the theme "brain and muscles" the clawed fiends as muscles come along the the "brains" - SciFi Bounty Hunters with some kind of JetPack/ Jumppack on their backs (like Boba Fett from Star Wars) | |

| Personally, I'd really love to see the mercenary theme played out. Dark City, after all, is the city of equality when it comes to murder and manhunting - every xenos race is free to sell their services, as long as they can survive. I think they would look fantastic! | |
