Shooting at different targets?

Hi,

If a unit is embarked in a Raider can it shoot it's weapons at a different target to, say the dark lance on the vehicle?.

So the dark lance targets a vehicle and the passengers shoot at a unit?.

The rule book clearly states that while passangers are considered as part of the vehicle for purpouses of various may not shoot rules and movement rules, they're treated as a separate unit for targetting purpouses, meaning they may not only target a different unit, but also a unit that was untargetable before the vehicle fired it's weapons.

...so you can blow tank with "first" unit, then shoot content with "second" unit.

yup - open the can with the raider's dark lance and digest the juicy innards with lots of splinter fire!
