dais of desteuction?

So I'm making a fun list for a 2500 point game and was planing to take the dais for giggles. Can I upgrade it like a raider?

Supidest thing in our list. Here is my "super-uber gunboat" that my "super-uber archon" only can take and, wait, what's that? We can't take the basic upgrades?

Kind of like arming your most elite soldiers with muskets while you give the average grunts AK47's.

I see no need for upgrades...

Why? NUMERATED LIST!!!!

1) Expensive enough, thanks.
2) Flickerfield or Night Shields? You have Jink saves and AV13.
3) Torment Grenade Launchers/Retrofire Jets/Chain Snares/Venom Blades? You wouldn't get them anyway...
4) Enhanced Aethersails: yeah, why shoot 3 lances when you can switch to ludicrous speed??
5) Grisly trophies: well that could be of use really, but not that much.
6) Splinter Racks? If you were using Kabalites then Vect lets you reroll 1s to hit and to wound already. Just don't move at cruising speed.
7) Shock Prow: cool but abusing (AV13+1D3!!). Anyway, now you can only move 12" to shoch tanks, and shooting at them is plain better.

Im only caring about Night Shield, cause Melta is still there, AV13 or not.

If it would have Aerial Assault and Night Shield with its price, it might actually be a decent thing.

if it had aerial(sp) assault, i'd take it every day of the week!

I still wouldnt take it, but atleast if it counted as a raider w/ airial assault it would of been decent... maybe Id grade it around Lelith bad...

To everyone pointing out why we don't take it let's realize that I said I was thinking about doing it for fun. And as for why because my local players are almost all Marines and if 5 points gives me even the smallest shred of hope from that thunder hammer I'm gonna spend them. Plus its a 2500 pt game guys come on Lol.

Also I rather have the 4 raiders in its points cost than it any day

The only one I will give you is one of those special LR that ignore lance... and a imperial titan...

If my dias only moves six inches its pretty easy for him to get to him the turn after he arrives by drop pod with his sterenguard vets.

if he drop pods in lysander... why havent you turboed away from him??? you never want him that close... ever...

Okely dokely. In THAT case. Here is a fun option for you.....

I once did a battle where i took 3 ravagers. The dais plus taking a court of the archon so that i got a tantalus as a dedicated transport.

I didn't actually do that well in terms of the game itself, but it was a blast firing all those dark lances and the pulse disintigrators at my opponent
