| Hi guys, I havent played since months with my Dark Eldar army and Im going to come back again with them. I have been reading about new meta in 6th edition and see what units work fine nowadays.
I would like to make a solid list with things that I have so I've made one that I would like to play but I dont know how it will work.
Here is the list:
- Archon, Combat Drugs, Huskblade, Phantasm Grenade Launcher, Shadow Field, Soul-trap and Ghost armor. - Haemonculus, Liquifer gun, venom blade
- 7 Incubus, Duelist, Demiklaivex in Raider with Flickering Field, aethersails. - 4 Grots, Liquifer gun, Aberration with sccisorhand in Raider with Flickering Field, aethersails. - 4 Blasterborn in venom with 2 x Splinter Cannon.
- 10 Warriors with Splinter Cannon in Raider with Flickering Field. - 10 Warriors with Splinter Cannon in Raider with Flickering Field. - 10 Warriors with Splinter Cannon in Raider with Flickering Field. - 5 Wracks in Venom with 2 x Splinter cannon. - 5 Wracks in Venom with 2 x Splinter cannon.
- 3 x Ravagers with Flickering Fields.

| What are the 5 wracks in the venoms for? They don't have liquifiers, so they won't be shooting from the venoms, and they aren't really that great for CC. So unless you have a specific use for them, aside from getting a venom out of the deal, I'd drop them down to 3 man squads to save yourself 40 points. I'd also drop the ghost armor(if your shadow field fails, archon is probably dead anyway), combat drugs, and maybe aethersails. Between all that, you could afford to swap a ravager out for a voidraven or razorwing. | |

| the flickerfield on a ravager seems to be a waste in points because you will almost always be moving with him for you +5 junk.
if u got an Archon with ur încubi why get a sergeant for them? his point cost is way too high for a tournament scene.
also. what do you do vs flyers? besides hoping for a 6

| yeah drop wracks to 3 man, and switch all raiders and ravagers flickerfields to nightshields.
I'm one to talk as I use a lot of upgrades, but that Archon is expensive dude. They always are once you have to give them a PGL for the Incubi and thats fair enough, but I find huskblades very overrated. A better combo is power spear/venom blade, where you use the power spear on the charge in, and switch to venom blade for protracted combats and once you kill an IC or MC soul trap. Then your S8 (if you have FC pain tokens that is) on the charge. Try and start the Archon with your wracks to steal a pain token at the start of the game and jump in with the Incubi 1st turn (though remember not to do this if your combat drugs roll is a 6, as your Archon can't leave them with both tokens and wracks with none!)
I don't rate using Klaivex's in Incubi units. I'd rather just take another Incubus. But since you have 7, those pts could go elsewhere

| Dont listen to them about flyers. You dont need Razorwing or Voidbomber, they are crap. You are better off snapshotting at veichles with DE.
I have yet to loose to a flyer list, in friendly or competitive play. And I have only once brought a ADL (and then I didnt even play against a flyer).
Anyway. I dont think this list will do well in a turnement. You need to ask yourself how you are planning to win against the lists you will face, especially the top lists. You have to litle AT to handle them.
There are really just two builds that do well for DE these days, the first is Venomspam, the other are 3x beastgroups.
There are a few other builds that can do decent, but still not close to these 2 builds tho.

| I run 3 Beastmasters, 5 khymera and 4 razorwings flocks. (I run this in my Venomspam)
But if you plan a beast list i would recommend more khymera's, 10 at that. 4BM,10K,4RF. (I dont run beast list, I have just seen some players done very good with them, aswell as I keep reading around that they finish trong in turnements).
I can understand that you get confused, I was the same when I started playing again a few years back. There are so much differant advice going around, and especially with DE.
I'm not going to say my advice is better than anyone els' here, all I can say is that I run venomspam in turnements and I finish at the top in every turnement I attend. I dont say its a fun list to play either (because its boring). But I have faced about every top list with flyers or without, I have still had most problems against None flyer lists.
The best thing to do is to learn from experience. But what I can tell you is that your list lacks anti tank. And you never ned Klaivex or more than 5 Incubis in a group (I run 3 if I run them as that is usually enough)

| And if cant run venomspam? i have like 5 raiders and just 3 venoms, and i dont want to buy lots of venoms, I could add more blasterborn to the list ( I have 12 ) or maybe a beastpack unit.... | |

| Well this would be my two cents then:
Haemonculus with Liquefier gun; Shattershard; Archon With Huskblade; Splinter pistol; Shadow field; Combat drugs; Soul-trap; Phantasm grenade launcher;
4x - Kabalite Trueborn with 4xblasters in Raider ; Dark lance; Night shields; 4x - Kabalite Trueborn with 4xblasters in Raider ; Dark lance; Night shields; 5x - Incubi (180pt.) in Raider ; Dark lance; Night shields;
5x - Wracks with Liquefier gun; in Raider ; Dark lance; Night shields; 5x - Wracks with Liquefier gun; in Raider ; Dark lance; Night shields; 5x - Kabalite Warriors with Blaster; in Venom with Splinter cannon(x2); 5x - Kabalite Warriors with Blaster; in Venom with Splinter cannon(x2); 5x - Kabalite Warriors with Blaster; in Venom with Splinter cannon(x2);
3x Beastmaster with 5xKhymera and 4xRazorwing flock
Ravager Ravager Ravager
And you got 123 more points to spend here. I would spend it on Reavers/ more beasts. Or give Ravagers NS/FF if you want. But this is something I belive you can do well with, a good competitive list

| With 123 points left throwing night shields on Ravagers for uniformity and adding in 2 beastmaster flocks that consist of 1 beastmaster and 2 razorwing flocks is a popular idea for that little points, those 2 squads only cost 84 total and are nice distractions with 11 wounds | |

| Also @OP, if you're not really interested in buying more venoms right now, beastpacks might be a bit out of the question as well. They're the most expensive ground pounders that DE has.
If you already have most of the models in your original list, I would go with that and modify the 1 ravager to a voidraven or razorwing.
Venomspam is effective. But as he said, it's not really fun or all that interesting. In the end, go with what is economically sound, and sounds cool to you.
