| I think the PGL really isn't needed on the archon, grotesques are only I4 and are very resilient. It's a lot of points for very little gain in this case. As for the haemonculus what's his roll other than making wracks troops? If he runs with the grots, I would drop either the liquifier or the shatter shard for a power axe. Taking two template weapons is over kill as he will probably only get 1-2 chances to fire it, so again I would go either liquifier or shatter, not both. I think the scissor hands is a waste on the aberration. Venom blade saves you 10pts and lets you always wound on 2s, re-roll to wound against anything t5 or less and still gives you 6 attacks on the charge. I don't feel 1 extra attack is worth 10pts especially when it means wounding T4 on 3s (when you get charged, or are in the second round of combat, assuming you have FC). My only other piece of advice would be to try and get another raider in the list. This lets you run 2-3 empty raiders within embarking distance of your grotesques, forcing your opponent to fire his AT at your empty raiders to prevent your grots from flying into his face next turn. Of course this is if you end up going second and there isn't a place to hide the raider from line of sight (so depends on the terrain available). Otherwise it looks like a really solid. Best of luck in the tournament! EDIT: I would also consider taking a haywire grenade on the Archon, it's a handy thing to have for the occasional dread/walker. | |
