coven list w/eldar allies 1850

I have been toying around with the idea of elder allies, something that would really go well with my tough coven units. I have used the spiritseer to make the wraithgaurd into the troop choice needed for my allies compulsory. The only reason I am crying right now is because a new codex for elder is coming out so this may not be viable soon. The army is super tough and has quite a bit of mobility.

Ya the new eldar dex is gonna be amazing, it should be nothing short of the most powerful psyker army in the multiverse.. I look forward to enslaving them!

I just hope they don't change the wraithgaurd as a troop choice or this list will be invalid. What do you think of the list though, on paper it looks pretty damn tough.

ranged anti armor could be a problem for you. Looks tough though. Fortune would add a lot to the survivability of the wraith guard unit. If you could find the points for it id take it.

OK I was thinking that myself, I will switch some points around to put fortune in my list.

Its definitely tough and many people will probably get preoccupied with killing the wraiths especially occupying center field where they might threaten something with their 12" guns. That said I'm not sold on the allies outside of for theme. I think more skimmers and as stated more long range AT and AI would probably serve you better overall.

I do agree, this is just an experiment, seeing what I can cook up with eldar allies. I personally like playing pure coven style dark elder lists. I don't even own any eldar models, so allies is a rather mute point for me. I really just wanted to experiment on how to make an already tough coven army even tougher. I am not very found of craftworld elder, and with the new codex coming out I am bound to not like them even more. I think dark elder should get the new codex, but we always get unfair treatment, such is life.
