| Hey Guys,
Just wanted to say hi as this is my first post in the Dark City! I've just decided to get back into Warhammer after a 5 year hiatus and my things have changed!
After realising my beloved sisters are no longer a force unto their own, I've decided to take the Dark Eldar route. I've been playing some proxy games with some friends and am toying with this list before I start purchasing models.
Would love to hear your feedback, and be critical! (but justify it).
It's all about redundancy and equal anti personnel and anti tank firepower, not really much of an intention to get into melee if it can be avoided.
1000 Points.
Archon (attached to incubi) Venom Blade
4 x Incubi Venom w Splinter Cannon Upgrade
4 x Trueborn 4 Blasters Venom w Splinter Cannon Upgrade
4 x Trueborn 4 Blasters Venom w Splinter Cannon Upgrade
5 x Kabalites Venom w Splinter Cannon Upgrade
5 x Kabalites Venom w Splinter Cannon Upgrade
1 x Ravager w 3 Dark Lances
1 x Ravager w 3 Dark Lances
Thanks in advance.

| I run a similar shell at 1k of 5-6 venoms 2-3 ravagers and its strong. In this case with only 2 troops I'm guessing you are gonna camp those warriors, or try to table rather than score maybe?
In 6th edition 5/6 of missions are objective based and most people aim to win with troops or at least compete for those a little meaning more troops. That said I go pretty minimal myself although more than 2 units. I suggest losing 2 elites for 2 troops in venoms, wyches would be good since you only have 2 ravagers. whether you keep the incubi or not give your archon a shadow field and consider a bs7 blaster for him as well.

| Hey Brom,
Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah the intention is really to attempt to table the enemy and contest any points that I can't keep them away from.
Would it be worth switching out the warriors for wyches with HWG for a little more flexibility?
I can dispense with the incubi, but am really liking the idea of 2 units of 'blasterborn'. How effective are they in reality?

| I would say yes the wyches are more flexible although harder to use. Blasterborn I don't like personally because of the range. Forces you to isolate and destroy their target or likely lose them. Some people run multiple units and have success, I don't use any. Splinterborn otoh are like 2 venoms in one.. Very nasty at low levels like this when taken in multiples.
I say run some wyches and splinterborn with night Shields and if you need more anti tank get the 3rd ravager or a flyer. Also consider FF/NS on you're ravagers. In some lists I'll squeeze NS on everything and its almost unfair at times but their success varies depending on the range of what you face.
To elaborate wyches are troops that can situationally do AT far better than blasterborn who are also situational. One threatens 14"-21"ish the other 24"-30" (disembark move which you won't ever do though with BB).

| Hey thanks bro,
Updated the list a little.
Didn't really feel the need for flickerfields on ravagers since they'll have jink anyway.
1 x Haemonculus
3 x Trueborn on a venom with a cannon + 2 cannon
3 x Trueborn on a venom with a cannon + 2 cannon
5 x Wyches on a venom with a cannon Haywire Grenades
5 x Wyches on a venom with a cannon Haywire Grenades
5 x Kabalites on a venom with a cannon <-- don't really know what i'll do with these, but can't think of anything better? could drop it and beef up the wyches to units of 10 and put them on raiders.
3 x Ravagers all with night shields
Cheers Ben | |

| Welcome to the Dark City.
With 1000 pts, are you planning on playing 4x4 or 4x6 tablesize?

| Thanks Good question, we've been adlibbing a kitchen table that was 4x3 but we've just procured a 6x4. | |

| Ah ok. Yeah the reason I asked is because we had an interesting discussion. I was running a similar list like you on 4x4 tables, low on terrain and no LOS blocking terrain. Those kind of conditions asks for our more sturdy units, like Talos, Wracks and Grotesques (I was thinking too much in a box at the time to see it).
On 6x4 tables you' ll be fine with this list, because you' ll be out of range most of the time on turn 1. Or you can hide out of sight or atleast claim a cover save here and there. This is necessary for such a skimmer heavy list like these lists. Your AI/AT seem to be nicely balanced. Indeed watch out for melee, you' ll struggle there. But you already said that you had no intention to do melee.
The only thing that glares at me like a sore thumb right now is the heamonculus. I guess you put 'm in there ' cause he was the cheapest. But right now that is throwing pts down the drain IMHO. He needs an upgrade to do anything at all (unless you take 'm to make Wracks scoring or give a unit FnP). But I guess you don't have the points left to give 'm anything usefull? Not even a Venomblade?

| Yeah with that haemo. I have 3 points spare and not really anywhere that i care to cut from.
I've never been one to lob points against single characters, they're just too fragile and too unreliable. I'd much rather sink points on troops.
I'm happy with him to just give the dudes a pain point and leave it at that.
