Nurgle CSM Allies

I'm trying to synergyze a DE army list with a Nurgle CSM List using

Typhus + Terminators
Plagued Space Marines
Zombie Cultists
1-2 Helldrakes focused on anti-tank

I figured the best way to go for the DE portion of the army would be of course warrior splinter spam. Not sure if that would be better on venoms or raiders. I would also like to a voidbomber for some horde decimation. Not sure which HQ to use prolly cheapo archon.

I would kind of like the CSM portion to be a footslogging marching blob while the DE are racing around skirmishing the enemy that way I try to have a balance of slow tough units and fast striking dps units

Any input on additions/specific wargear is much appreciated, and im really looking at about 1k-1500 point games

Well, first off, you'd probably want to use the Nurgle guys as the main, and the DE as the allies, as that way you get the superior objective holders able to hold objectives. Also, unless Nurgle is your Primary, you can't have Plague Marines as a troop choice.

You seem confused about your fliers. Heldrakes aren't all that when it comes to anti-tank; the Voidraven is. The Heldrake is outright lethal against infantry though.

I think to make this work the footsloggers need some serious ranged presence. Elsewise it will be very easy for an opponent to ignore them for a couple of turns while shooting down your fragile Dark Eldar. Also, if you're running splinter spam and a Heldrake, your anti-inf needs are fairly few. Killing tanks however looks far more of a priority for the rest of the army.

Some Obliterators with Mark of Nurgle would be good for AT. I can speak from regular experience against Nurgle CSM lists that they are a bugger to shift!

Thanks for the advice! Maybe for anti-tank I can just grab 5 chosen that I have and throw plasma cannons on all of them. If I main the CSM maybe I'll take my Daemon prince as nurgle for the improved tankiness and kit him out for AT or would buying Obliterators really be the optimal spec

Only the chosen champion may take a plasma cannon and I wouldn't rely on them as anti tank, unless they're in a rhino with meltaguns (up to 5 special weapons in a squad). Even then they die as easily as regular marines. For CSM I wouldn't rely on any shooting for AT. The plasma cannon can scatter and do nothing. The cost of 3 obliterators (keep in mind the obliterator weapons special rule) you could get even more terminators with chain fists (armorbane is as OP as OP can be). I'm a firm believer that deep striking termies with chain fists are the best AT unit in the army, but thats just from my experience (with good luck).

I'm going to second Nurgle Obliterators, my regular opponent has them and they are extremely annoying. A small bike squad with mark of Nurgle and a couple of meltas would be very good too, they're tough, fast and pretty deadly.
