| Missiles on the Razorwing are One Shot and the bird starts the game with four. The question I have is, if you happen to roll a miss do you lose that missile? | |

| Yes. You can fire as many missiles as you have but you can only fire each one once, hit or miss! Also, no more than 2 missiles per turn. | |

| Now I'm a bit confused :S If the missile is a Large Blast are you meant to use a scatter dice? And how many D6's? I was told in my local GW that you just roll a D6 and if it hits it hits or misses on a roll of 1 or 2... | |

| IIRC that is not correct. If you check the entries of the Razorwing and the Voidraven in de DE codex you can check the profiles of the different missiles they can take and they are all Blasts (Large or Small). If you check page 81 of the rulebook is says for missiles nothing about how to use them (only for bombs and bombing runs). So if I understand the rules correctly you need to shoot them according to the rules of shooting a blast weapon. That means a scatterdice and 2 D6 - 4 from our BS.
Maybe they kept the rules simple. Was it your 1st game?

| Not my first game but first time out with the Razorwing. I kept running through the section about missiles and as you state there's nothing about how they hit, so I guess you must be right and are treated as a blast template weapon. I'll dip into to that section went I get home. | |

| All our Missiles are Blast or Large Blast weapons and are fired accordingly. - BRB p.33 wrote:
- When firing a Blast weapon, models do not roll To Hit. Instead, just pick one enemy model visible to the firer and place the relevant blast marker with its hole entirely over the base of the target model (see diagram), or its hull if the target is a vehicle. The hole at the centre of the marker must be within the weapon's maximum range. You cannot place the blast marker so that the base or hull of any friendly models is even partially under it.
Missiles that are neither Blast, nor Large Blast weapons, like Bloodstrike missiles or Stormstrike missiles are fired normally.

| In other words, Blasts hit automatically, causing hits to any models which are at least partially covered by the template once the scatter roll (2d6 minus the BS of the firing model) has been resolved. You do still need to roll to wound, but the hits are automatic. | |

| Thanks for the responses. I checked the rule book yesterday eve and found the guidance. There should be a note in the section about missiles to use that rule.
It follows the same logic as Scourges are jump infantry, and I found out that because of this they get the Hammer of Wrath rule... only by following a trail around the paragraphs and pages!

| Remember, jump infantry only gets the HoW hits if they do NOT use their jump packs during the movement phase. | |

That seems to have been the modus operandi for the current rulebook, just try finding a complete list of who can and who can't assault. I'll give you a hint, they're not all in the assault section of the rules!
