Tournament Saturday.. 1850 list:

Well, i have a tournament saturday, and after learning what the baron and dogs can do, i added 6 dogs and will try to get another win!

Baron
20 Khymerae
4 beastmasters

3x 5 warriors in venoms with blasters

3x 5 wyches in venoms w/ venom/haywire/hydra

3x ravagers (1 triple dissie)

aegis w/icarus

farseer/ warding (get it while I still can I guess)
5 dire avengers

7 wracks w/champ

Wracks are there as a backup for the icarus, with a 4+5+ or go to ground 2+ 5+, they should be durable.
Wyches are vehicle or Tau infantry killers
Beast pack is the "get into their back lines and muss it all up!"
Should be a fun list to play.

I will post a report and let you know how I did.

hmmm. I went to a league game at 2000 points with this list last night. (I played 150 down to see how it would go)

I ended up playing Tyranids:
2 flyrants
2 units of 2 biovores
2 of the big things that make smaller squads
2 ymargal genestealer units
doom
and a bunch of gaunts and 2 drop pod things


He seized the initiative

At the bottom of turn 5, I tabled him.

I know tyranids are not a good matchup vs dark eldar, but I have to say:
Doom was a royal pain in the butt
The farseer's runes of warding were gold this game
the baron and dogs were just plain unstopable. They ended up with 8 pain tokens.

I like the list but I would try to swap icarus for quadgun. has a higher chance to kill despite the lower strength.

agree with , also I would suggest leaving the wracks for something else

Well, dropped the wracks and added some eldar snipers (5 man unit)
Had to drop a dog as well to make it fit.

I have been having issues with nids. My opponent prolly tailors his lists, but his flyrants are disastrous for me. He plays a very shooty style. And yes I have had nothing but problems with doom. The flyrants are my main problem though.
