Hi Guys,
I will start with a quick description and then just post the list, any suggestions and feedback are always welcome, though please try to take me preferred playstyle into consideration.
I started the Dark Eldar at the beginning of this year after playing the Tau all of last year and felt that I was missing out on a whole phase of the 40k game (the assault phase) and due to the Dark Eldar fluff and that fact I have set out to play an assault army to the best of my ability. I am a huge fan of the Wyche models and rules and really like the idea of them dodging around heavier enemies while bringing swift death as they go.
I am also a fan of the Coven and the Haemonculus' ability to make the Wyches survive an exploding transport, and along with them comes their faithful servants the Wracks (also a great excuse to bring Venoms for the splinter cannons) and the beautiful models that are the Pain Engines.
My current gaming group tend to play on 4x4' boards so that we can have more games going simultaneously, though on Vassal I will be/have been playing 6x4' tables.
So onto the list:
HQ:
Haemonculus - Liquifier gun
Haemonculus - Liquifier gun

5 x Wracks - Liquifier gun
Venom - Nightsheilds and TL Splinter cannon

9 x Wyches - 1 x Hydra gauntlets and Haywire Grenades
Raider - Nightsheilds and Dark Lance
9 x Wyches - 1 x Hydra gauntlets and Haywire Grenades

Fast Attack:
9 x Reaver Jetbikes - 3 x cluster caltrops
Heavy Support:
Talos Pain Engine - TL Liquifier Guns

My Basic gameplan is to have the whole army move forward during the game as fast as possible towards the most optimal enemy units, while having everything except the Reavers deploy on the table turn one. Transports hide at the back hopefully out of range with the Talos further forward presenting a target for the enemy to waste shots on.
Turn one the Wyches flat out regardless, trying to get into assault range of either/both vehicles and infantry. The Wracks are not far behind moving toward objectives and firing into high toughness/infantry.
If the raiders survive the Haemonculus stay on the transport and liquify some stuff for the rest of the game, if not then they will split from the Wyches and charge to take overwatch shots.
When the Reavers arrive from reserve they will be flying full speed over a weakened unit to try to wipe them out and then thanks to the 3+ cover; they survive and are free to assault the back field for the rest of the game and hopefully get linebreaker or get objectives in the scouring.
All the while the Talos are moving ever closer to the enemy lines and can either defend objectives held by the wracks and threaten enemy units, and hopefully absorb more fire that would otherwise be preventing my assaulting Wyches from getting the job done.
I have tried to create a list that is as survivable as possible while hopefully giving an opponent more than enough rushing units that are a threat so that target priority is a problem. In terms of doing damage I have tried to make the pretty much the whole army able to deal with armour and infantry adding to the target priority issues for my opponent.
I would love to hear what you guys think as I am still very much new to the assaulting side of 40k.
Many thanks!
