The Kabal of the Bladed Shadow

Sometime in M39 of Imperial Reckoning, Tarhyyr, Dracon of the Kabal of the Black Void, staged a military coup within the Kabal, and personally assassinated several rival Dracons within the Kabal and assumed his position as Archon of the Kabal, where some rejoiced the change in command, others did not - although those that spoke out soon found themselves in the Wych Cult Arenas! After Purging his ranks of those who woud not follow him, he re-named his Kabal, the Kabal of the Bladed Shadow, a name reminiscent of his methods for rising to power. The Kabal specialises in Infiltration and lightning fast raids, often acting as the Vanguard for larger Kabals, a position they relish greatly as it means they get first picks for prisoners.

The Kabal is known to be openly allied to only 2 Kabals, The Kabal of the Black Heart (most notably) and the Kabal of the Broken Sigil. In fact the Kabal of the Bladed Shadow was seen during the Harvest of Chogros, fighting at the core alongside The Kabal of the Broken Sigil, earning themselves a reputation for being fine warriors and cunning to a flaw.

The Kabal hold the Eldar Species as the highest form of life, regarding other sentient members of the Galaxy to be far inferior to themselves and are therefore reluctant to have to use their assistance. Saying this, they are not against working alongside their Craftworld Cousins in order to complete their tasks, and have often appeared at the opportune moment to save them from destruction, Most Notably when rescuing a fleet from the Craftworld Saim-Hann from Annihilation by Imperial forces by 're-directing' Space Marine Battle Barges onto collision courses with each other and locking out the controls to make the event inescapable. After 17 cruisers smashed into each other, the Dark Eldar leaped into action, swarming the wreckages and capturing any Imperial Personnel and Astartes that still lived, and killing those that resisted, before returning to The Dark City with their plunder. Records of this event have reportedly been removed from Ultramarine data-banks.

Today The Kabal of the Bladed Shadow resides in High-Commorragh, their Martial Prowess and Famous Expertise having earned themselves a place among the Great Kabals, and Tarhyyr a seat at Vect's Council.
