The Kabal of the Obsidian Tower. At the moment it is a rather small kabal, rumored to take advantage of close ties with the mandrakes of the shadow realm more than most. Other less-heard rumors claim the Obsidian Tower is in league with the guardians of the Black Library that hide great knowledge of the future within the webway, but this is only speculation of course.
Archon Pelorix rules the kabal with a mysterious form of absolute control despite his frequent and often lengthy absences. The enigmatic leader's numerous disappearances are most likely due to his certain level of interest in the sooth sayers and fortune tellers of lower Commorragh most other Dark Eldar would consider strange and unhealthy; his interests lying mostly, only naturally of course, in keeping himself alive and out of the grasp of She-Who-Thirsts for as long as possible.
Being a True Born descendant of the Eldar race, Pelorix resents Asdrubeal Vect's rule to a certain degree but is too worried about etching the destiny of his kabal among the stars and ensuring his own immortality to become overly involved in the the common squabbles, uprisings, and infighting common among the other Archons and their kabals.
The Obsidian Tower makes its home in a region that lies on the outermost fringes of Commorragh known as The Midnight Citadel. Dark Eldar seem to be steadily flowing there now as word of the Kabal's high amount of protection, relatively speaking, from the denizens of the dark realm as well as from members of other kabals spreads. The Archon Pelorix is well-known for his raids against the followers of Chaos, attracting some of the most resolute, or often times, the most insane of followers. The Obsidian Tower enjoys quite often the delicious tang of revenge against their ancient enemy; the Great Shadow of the Eldar's past.
The Kabal grows slowly, but steadily, as the trickle of recruits, resources and slaves is beginning to increase.
"The definition of Chaos is described as that which is always changing, causing turbulence in the essence of life itself, then causing turmoil and confusion among the stars. Being a race born in the time of the gods, however weak said gods might have been, the Eldar are not subject to the common rules of the universe relating to Chaos. Instead, at the birth of She-Who-Thirsts, the Eldar race split into two dichotomies: the disciplined and the free. It is my belief that through unification of these two dichotomies, the Eldar race will then become whole again, as unlikely as that may seem. However, every reaction requires a catalyst. I believe this catalyst to be Chaos itself, or better said, the lack thereof. You may be asking yourself, but almighty Archon, does this mean you subscribe to the beliefs of our weaker brethren? To this, I am forced to answer, yes. Yes my child, at least in this simple undeniable detail of fate. It is only natural that an event similar to the Rhana Dandra of the Black Library must occur. So do not trouble yourself, child. For it is the Children of Kaine who are eternal, and it is Chaos that is fleeting"
